Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur de fysikaliskt- kemiska egenskaperna hos tensidberedningar påverkas vid förändringar av den ingående tensidblandningen. Egenskaper som studerats är skummning, ytspänning samt rengörningsförmåga._x000B_Efter en litteraturstudie utfördes två typer av experimentella försök. 1. Tillämpning av en befintlig metod för rengörningsprocessen. 2. Efter teoretiska beräkningar, testades en tensidberedning i fullskaligt produktionssteg. Även tester i konsumentled har utförts._x000B_Metoderna för den experimentella delen är hämtade från litteratur och industri. Resultaten som erhölls från det experimentella arbetet visade på en svårighet att erhålla reproducerbara mätresultat, vilket leder till slutsatsen att metoden inte kan användas till undersökningar av tensiders rengörningsförmåga. Testresultaten som erhölls från produktions- och konsumentundersökningarna visade inga märkbara egenskapsförändringar hos beredningen. Denna enkla undersökningsmetod räcker inte för att avgöra om rengörningseffekten har förändrats, utan indikerar endast att beredningen inte märkbart försämrats.

The purpose of this diploma work was to study the physical and chemical properties in a blend of surfactants, when the ratio between the surfactants changes, or if one of them was replaced with another surfactant. The properties studied were, foaming, surface tension, and detergency. After a literature survey, I conducted two types of experimental methods. 1. Use of known method for experimental detergency tests. 2. After theoretical surveys, tests of a surfactant blend in a full production step were preformed and finely the blend was tested in consumers’ line._x000B_The methods used for the experimental part of this work were taken from the industry and the literature. The results from the experimental detergency tests indicated that it is difficult to obtain reproducible results. The outcome is that this detergency test is unsuitable for testing of surfactants detergency capability. The results from the production and consumer tests showed no visible changes, but the result from this simple method is insufficient to determine whether the properties of the detergency have changed. This type of test only indicates that the blend has not visibly deteriorated with respect to its detergency capabilities.
