Den nya lagstiftningen möter arbetsmiljörättsligaregler, som syftar till att skydda arbetstagare mot bland annat hotoch våld på arbetsplatsen. I bidraget undersöks det arbetsmiljörättsliga utrymmetför att vidta åtgärder, i ljuset av den nya lagstiftningen och de rättsstatligaprinciper den syftar till att skydda.

In 2025, amendments to the Criminal Code and the Administrative ProcedureAct came into force, with the purpose of dealing with the increased exposure ofpublic employees to threats and violence. This contribution examines the legalscope for eliminating risks of threats and violence in the workplace according towork environment regulations on threats and violence in the workplace, in lightof the new legislation. The conclusion is that the scope for eliminating risks of violenceis greater than for threats, and that the work environment regulations maylimit the possibilities of realising the interest in safeguarding democracy expressedin the new criminal and administrative law regulations.
