Abstract [sv]

Arbetsgivare är skyldiga attundersöka risker för diskrimineringoch hinder för likarättigheter och därefter vidtaaktiva åtgärder. Samtidigt ärhbtq-personer ofta utsattaför trakasserier och negativbehandling på sina arbetsplatser.I denna artikel syntetiserasresultat från forskningsprojektet“Minoritetsstress på jobbet”i en analys grundad i diskrimineringslagenskrav. Resultatenvisar att hbtq-personer är merutsatta på sina arbetsplatser änandra, med negativa konsekvenserför både hälsa ocharbetstillfredsställelse. Kunskapenom hbtq-personers arbetsvillkorvarierar bland cheferoch HR-personal, vilket sätter ramar för vilka åtgärder som framstår motiverade. Fortsatt forskning och diskussionär viktiga för att diskrimineringslagen ska kunna få avsedd effekt.

Abstract [en]

Employers are required by the Swedish Discrimination Act to investigate risks ofdiscrimination and obstacles to equal opportunities, and to take active preventivemeasures. Yet LGBTQ individuals often face negative treatment at work. Thisarticle synthesizes findings from the research project “Minority Stress at Work,”highlighting that LGBTQ employees experience greater exposure to workplacerisks, with negative consequences for both health and job satisfaction. Knowledgeabout LGBTQ working conditions varies among managers and HR staff, framingwhat measures are deemed motivated. Continued research and dialogue areessential for the Discrimination Act to have its intended impact.
