Abstract [en]
This thesis has aimed to study whether the film medium can function as a catalyst for moraland ethical reflection. With a specific focus on how In Time, Elysium, and V for Vendettapresent and process complex themes such as power, justice, and the individual's role insociety, the thesis examines the film's ability to influence and shape viewers' perceptions ofmorality and ethics. The thesis highlights how films not only serve as entertainment but alsoas important tools for stimulating thoughts and debates, making them central components inour cultural and social discourse. In a detailed analysis of the film's narrative and visualaspects, as well as their portrayal of characters and actions, it is examined how thesecinematic elements contribute to conveying moral messages. The results of the analysissuggest that film plays an active and changing role, not only in reflecting our perceptions ofethics and morality but also in shaping them. Film functions as a powerful tool for conveyingand examining moral messages, which is particularly important in a time when complex andambiguous moral situations are becoming increasingly common in society. This means thatfilm not only reflects existing moral norms but also actively contributes to the discussion anddevelopment of these norms.
