Skönlitterära böcker - hur går det att använda dem inom religionsundervisningen
2005 (svensk)Independent thesis Basic level (professional degree)Oppgave
Abstract [en]

The purpose of this examwork is to try answering the question ”How can You with the help of children- and youthliterature illuminate the pupils questions of vital importance within the subject of religion”. To my help in the work of answering this question I have used three common questions of vital importance among the pupils. These three are: 1. All man are equal 2. The understanding and respect for those who thinks and acts differently 3. The loss of a close relative. The work has an didactic direction and is built on analysis of different kinds of texts. Besides the work with literature that deals with the situations of educations I also have choosen three books that are written for young people. Two of them are written by the swedish author Peter Pohl and the third is written by the english auther J.K Rowling. Through this way of building up the pupils education I want to show the possibilities that lays in using this kind of literature together with traditional textbooks and teaching aids. A possibility that have long been overlooked. The literature written for the children and the youth are adjusted to them, both when it comes to the linguistic and to the experience. In school You will met a lot of children and youths that are unwillingly and unexperienced when it comes to reading. For these pupils it will be easier to explain the abstract things if You, as a teacher, use methodes that brings the abstract things down to a more concrete level. Such methodes are Ulla Lunqvists model of seven steps and the use of different literature for youths. The model of Ulla Lundqvist contains for example questions of attachment, identity and reasoning. The questions helps the pupils to understand the text and this understanding will lead to that more pupils can be, and wants to be, a part of the following discissions. These kind of questions brings the abstract down to a more concrete level. This way of working in school can renew the education, create a more personal engagement and maby even make religion a little bit more interesting among the pupils.
