    Abstract [en]

    This essay is a comparative case study that examines the planning of civil defense from Halland, Västra Götaland, Värmland and Örebro county administrative boards from a collaborative perspective. The overall question is what similarities and differences exist between the county administrative board planning. The empiric material is obtained through semi-structured qualitative interviews with officials at the executive and supervisory level of the investigated county administrative boards. The collected material is categorized and analyzed based on an analysis model based on a framework, An Integrative Framework for Collaborative Governance. The analysis compares the work of the four county administrative boards in planning civil defense through cooperation. The results of the study shows that there are major differences between the county administrative authorities in how they have taken on the task and what activity they are pursuing to create legitimacy, cross-border action and overall understanding between actors to create the conditions for civil defense planning. There are also major differences in how they perceived the governance that comes from national authority. The result also shows that there are major similarities in the needs of the four county administrative boards, including coordination in the hierarchical organization from national to local level regarding industry agreements and coherent planning. The framework can be found useful as an analysis tool for collaborative planning in civil defense.

    Abstract

    The aim of the study was to investigate how preschool teachers deal with and relate to the topic of human reproduction. In total, there was three different preschools and ten preschool teachers who participated in this study. To be able to take part of the preschool teachers approach and how they are working, semi-structured interviews was used as a method. To compare the preschool teachers answers with what was written in children’s book, a text analysis was also used as a method. The survey addresses the explanatory models and concepts that the preschool teachers use and what materials they use to give the children an understanding of human reproduction. It turned out that preschool teachers do not perceive that human reproduction is an inconvenient or embarrassing subject to talk with the children about. However, the result showed that they experienced various obstacles to working with human reproduction in preschool. The preschool teachers stated that there may be different difficulties in addressing this topic with the children as there may be parents who can have strong opinions about whether or not their children should have this knowledge. Other difficulties mentioned by the pedagogues were if there were any children with same-sex parents or if there were children from another culture that complicates the work on this subject. In the result, it also appears that the pedagogues think that there are good books that deal with the subject, which will be a help and a tool to explain to the children how reproduction works.

The hypothesis tested in the study is based on Hirdman's theory of gender contracts and “the law of separation” and it was formulated on the assumption that the traditionally more conservative Borås would also have a stricter policy on gender separation than the traditionally more liberal Karlstad.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this qualitative study is to investigate how social science teachers perceive and express the concept of society in social studies. The study consists of focus group interviews with nine social science teachers at two upper secondary schools and its results are analyzed against the theoretical backdrop of Odenstad's orientation topics, analytical subjects and discussion topics and Sandahl’s first-order and second-order concepts. In short, the two different conceptual devices can be described as the skills and abilities that are most important for the students to master in order to develop advanced thinking skills in social science. Particular emphasis is put on critical thinking, that is, the ability to seek, structure and evaluate information from different sources and to draw conclusions from this process. The emerging results show a certain consensus on the concept of society among social science teachers as the potential subject of study and analysis that would simplify and clarify the analyses of the different levels in society which, in turn, would contribute to adding significance and bringing cohesion to the subject as a whole. As for the skills and abilities that stem from Odenstad's orientation topics and Sandahl’s first-order concepts, the interviewed teachers all emphasize conceptual ability as well as good external knowledge to have knowledge of how society is made up. With reference to Odenstad's analytical subject and discussion topics and Sandahl's second-order concepts, it would seem that it is not only important but a prerequisite that students develop an analytical ability and critical thinking as well as the ability to sift through and process large amounts of information and assume different perspectives on the topic or issue at hand.

    Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka fyra olika lågstadielärares syn på under-visning i historia utifrån två teoretiska aspekter. Dessa teoretiska aspekter har inhämtats från Mikael Bergs studie Historielärares ämnesförståelse (2014), där han menar att lärares ämnesförståelse kan kopplas till olika orienteringar i historieämnet och olika ämnesredskap som lärare använder sig av för att ta sig an historia. Den första aspekten som undersöktes var att utifrån lärarnas uppfattning av historieämnets syfte och innehåll belysa vilken orientering som lärarna hade. Den andra aspekten var att undersöka lärarnas upplägg av historieundervisningen för att se vilka ämnesredskap som lärarna använde sig av i historieundervisningen. För att samla in material och undersöka syftet med studien användes semistrukturerade samtalsintervjuer som metod. Lärarna som har deltagit i denna studie är verksamma lågstadielärare som arbetar på fyra olika skolor, i två olika kommuner. Lågstadielärarnas syn på historieundervisning har studerats utifrån de utsagor som de har lämnat vid deltagandet av intervjuerna. Studien har på en övergripande nivå visat att lärarnas ämnesförståelse påverkar historieundervisningens innehåll och upplägg. Resultatet från studien visade att samtliga lärare har samma huvudsakliga orientering och använder sig av liknande ämnesredskap, men studien visar även att lärarna kan dra mot flera olika orienteringar. Resultaten av undersökningen konstaterade således en komplexitet i lärarnas ämnesförståelse.

    Abstract [sv]

    Studien syftar till att undersöka hur företag inom wellnessresebranschen använder sig av konsumenters ökade intresse för hälsa och välmående i utvecklingen av sina koncept. Till studien har tre wellnessföretag av olika storlek och etablering på marknaden intervjuats, två företag med inriktning på fysisk träning och ett företag med fokus mot det mentala välmåendet som utöver exempelvis yoga och mindfulness. De tre företagen jämförs med varandra för att undersöka hur företagens koncept är uppbyggda, detta för att lyfta fram utvecklingsområden för framtida och befintliga företag. Studien fördjupar sig i att undersöka om företagen arbetar utefter WHO:s grundläggande kriterier för fullständig hälsa, där fysiskt, mentalt och socialt är aspekter som måste tas i beaktning. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna kommer vara två modeller från Pine & Gilmores, utvecklingstrappa för att bli unik samt upplevelsernas fyra världar för att undersöka om företagen erbjuder en komplett upplevelse. Som en slutsats visade undersökningen bland annat att wellnessföretagen arbetade med upplevelser som de själva anser är unika. Dock kan upplevelser diskuteras eftersom begreppet är något som kan tolkas individuellt utifrån differentierade aspekter. De intervjuade företagens koncept passar alla in i Fernströms modell upplevelsernas fyra världar, en modell som redogör för hur kompletta upplevelser skapas. Företagen ansåg att fysisk träning har inverkan på de mentala aspekterna vilket naturligt resulterar i ett fulländat välmående. Den mentala träningen ansåg företaget ha inverkan på kroppen fysiskt eftersom ett lugnt och harmoniskt sinne resulterade en välbalanserad kropp. Företagen ansåg att det mentala och det fysiska välmåendet kan ses som en helhet, ett levande kretslopp som har inverkan på vardera del.

    Abstract [en]

    This study aims at highlighting sexual harassment from guests towards employees in the hotel industry, where specifically the hotel manager’s and staff's own experiences are studied and how they handle the phenomenon. The study consists of a completely anonymous case study, where hotels in a medium-sized city in Sweden are involved. Interviews with the managers and a survey with the hotel staff who work close to the guests have been done. The managers' views are compared with the staffs' to identify similarities, but also differences in how sexual harassment from guests towards employees experiences, how and at what situations sexual harassment occurs and how sexual harassment from guests is managed by managers and employees. Definition of sexual harassment in this study has its foundation in the Discrimination Act, which describes it as "a behavior of sexual nature that violates someone's dignity" (Chapter 4, paragraph 5, DiskL).

     

    According to this study, sexual harassment is experienced differently by managers and staff. The managers at the various hotels felt that sexual harassment from guests towards staff does not occur anymore. The staff, on the other hand, consider that sexual harassment is a common phenomenon in the workplace, and about 70% of respondents themselves have been involved in sexual harassment and 50% have seen someone else been exposed to the phenomenon. Sexual harassment occurs most verbally, but it also happens through body language. The survey shows that sexual harassment occurs in the evening, especially on weekends and in connection with the guest consuming alcoholic beverages. The survey also showed that the managers of the various hotels never received a notification of sexual harassment from their staff. This can be connected to the fact that the majority of respondents choose not to proceed with sexual harassment to their bosses because the employee handles it themselves, accuses himself or is ashamed. This shows that sexual harassment is a sensitive and shameful problem in the hotel industry that should be highlighted even more.

    Sociala medier är en del av vår vardag och för många företag är sociala medier ansiktet utåt. Sociala medier fungerar inte som traditionell reklam eller annonsering och därmed krävs det en hel del från företagen i form av tid, resurser, kunskap och engagemang. Sociala medier är inte bara en marknadsföringskanal, utan också en kommunikationskanal för att stärka relationer med konsumenter, knyta nya kontakter eller för att bygga ett förtroende. En del företag väljer att outsourca sina sociala medier, låta ett annat företag ta hand om företagets sociala medier.Syftet är att identifiera kritiska framgångsfaktorer vid outsourcing av sociala medier. Denna studie har även identifierat fördelar samt nackdelar med outsourcing. De kritiska framgångsfaktorerna bakom lyckad outsourcing visas i en analysmodell.I denna kvalitativa studie har datainsamlingen främst skett via fyra intervjuer, två leverantörer samt två av deras kunder. Datainsamlingen består även av vetenskapliga artiklar och vetenskaplig litteratur.Det slutgiltiga resultatet ger utöver framgångsfaktorer en del rekommendationer till leverantörer och kunder. Rekommendationerna visar att kunder som outsourcar själva behöver ta ansvar för sina kommunikationskanaler i de sociala medierna.

    Rekommendationerna påvisar även att det är centralt med tydliga avtal och en beskrivande målbeskrivning med varför sociala medier är viktigt för företaget.Slutsatserna består av två tillkomna kritiska framgångsfaktorer. En faktor är att kunden ska vid outsourcing ha intresse för sociala medier. Vidare krävs det att företaget är aktivt på sociala medier. Detta för att inte gå miste om de kreativa konsumenterna, ambassadörerna och de aktiva kunderna och följaktligen inte gå miste om den utvecklingspotential som interaktionen mellan företag och deras kunder och potentiella kunder på sociala medier kan frambringa.

    Abstract [en]

    This master thesis focuses on teaching in reading comprehension strategies and genre knowledge. The study is based on research that shows that education in these areas is important for students' development of reading comprehension. Reading comprehension in itself is the basis for future knowledge acquisition and further studies. The purpose of this study is to investigate how teachers, active in the range from pre-school classes to third grade classes, works explicitly with reading comprehension strategies and genre knowledge. 

    The research is based on a web-questionnaire survey of all teachers for current grades in the subjects Swedish, Mathematics, Social studies and Science/Technology. It is limited to investigating a municipality in southern Sweden. 

    The results are coherent in such a way that the majority of teachers asked consider themselves to educate explicitly in reading comprehension strategies. Slightly fewer participants consider themselves to educate explicitly in genre knowledge. Also, based on the answers given by the participants, it turns out that both reading comprehension strategies and genre skills are less taught in this municipality compare to what is recommended according to science.

    Detta examensarbete handlar om några förskollärares inställning till muntligt berättande i förskolan. Syftet med studien var att få kunskap om vilken syn några förskollärare har till berättande, hur ofta berättandet sker samt olika former av berättande som används på förskolorna. För att synliggöra detta har enkäter skickats ut till 20 verksamma förskollärare, svaren har sedan analyserats och sammanställts.   

    Resultaten visar att förskollärarna målmedvetet använder muntligt berättande samt högläsning i förskolan för att främja barnens språkutveckling. Berättande aktiviteter äger i de flesta fall rum minst en gång varje dag. Resultaten visar också att det finns en stor variation av berättande aktiviteter på de berörda förskoleavdelningarna.

    The purpose of this study is to show the importance of task texts for students in grades 5 when solving mathematical problems. It was conducted in a class 5 (where the children are 11 years old). The pupils were assigned two different tests with mathematical problems; one where the problems were described in text and one where the problems were presented with numbers and mathematical signs. Previously done research, done on bilingual children, (Bernardo, 2002) shows that pupils tend to do better on mathematical tests when no text is presented. My research supports that theory even though the correlation is not that strong. The big discovery laid in the fact that boys tend to perform significantly lower results compared to the girls.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this paper is to examine large Swedish Private Equity firm’s investment behavior towards their target companies. Do Private Equity companies make long-term investments in their target companies or do they intend to save cost at the expense of staff to generate quick profits. The study examines the majority stakes of the transactions made by Swedish Private Equity companies in the period of 1996-2016. By examining variables such as the years before the exit, type of exit, the percentage of Quick flip transactions and if the Private Equity companies in general transfer majority shares in purchases and sales. The study is supplemented with two samples that investigate how the Private Equity companies acted as owners in target companies. This is done by examining the change of different key ratios over time, which is put in perspective by examining public companies. The study shows that, on average private equity companies tend to have a stronger development than the public companies. On the other hand, the study has problems with limited sampling, which makes it difficult to generalize the results from the study. However, the essay show tendencies that the results complementing the key ratios with a confidence interval test. The Private Equity companies show a more stable change over time than the public companies which also could been generated through the small sample size. Even though the conclusion of the paper is that Private Equity companies act as intermediaries that generate benefits to the market by increasing productivity in general. However, discussions about the definition of a short-term behavior are also included. The conclusion is, instead of focusing on time, the focus should be the value creation of the target companies when making assumptions on short-term behavior of Private equity companie

    The objective of this paper is to investigate how the image of the First World War and its background have been projected in teaching materials from the 1950s as well as in a number of following decades until today. Vital to this research are Holmén's arguments that textbooks traditionally had a great impact on education in Swedish schools and almost acted as an unofficial curriculum. Furthermore Holmén believes that learning materials reflect society's view of history.

    This research focusses on the agents in each examined decade. By using the developed method, the key player is put in a cause and effect correlation, where the aim is to ascertain the agent’s impact - or as in the investigation termed verkanseffekt - on the outbreak of the First World War. This verkanseffekt is then classified as either having a high or a low level of impact.

    The investigation shows that through the various decades, starting from 1950 to the present, a change of agent focus has taken place. First, some agents have been phased out in favor of different agents. In other cases, agents were reformulated in new terms, even though it is clear that it is the same agent who was dealt with. Furthermore, it appears that some agents emerge repeatedly, however, those agent´s impact on the war has changed. Mainly the reason for this is that different structures surrounding the various agents are interpreted differently at different times in history.

Denna uppsats beskriver hur tillgänglighetskraven ställda från WCAG 2.0 är implementerade på skatteverket och polisens hemsida med inriktning på synskadade, hur tillgängliga dessa sidor är och hur de har valt att implementera dessa standarder. Dessa frågor besvarades genom att utföra dokumentstudier, där jag har testat och analyserat hemsidorna utifrån WCAG 2.0 dokumentet, användartester, där testpersoner med synskador fick navigera på hemsidorna och även intervjuer. Resultatet visar att tillgänglighet på webben är svårt att uppnå, även om de följer de standarder som är satta betyder det inte att hemsidorna är tillgängliga och att det finns utrymme att tolka och implementera dessa standarder på olika sätt.

    This qualitative study examines preschool teachers’ experience concerning if children with languageimpairment suffer from exclusion from play with other children. The study also examines theirexperience about what kind of access rituals children with language impairment use to gain access inother children’s free play. Interviews were conducted with two preschool teachers.The result shows that according to preschool teachers’ experience, exclusion can depend on the child’snative language. They notice more exclusion among the children with other native language thanSwedish. They also experience that these children don’t search access to play in the same extent aschildren with Swedish as mother tongue. The result shows that children, no matter speech competence,use the same kind of non-verbal access rituals when they search access to play. The variation of ritualsdepends on the child’s personality, not on language competence. Children use their body language inthe shape of eye contact, body contact and also sign language is used in some situations. Children withdeveloped language use the body language when they want access but they also rely on their speechwhen they search for access.

    Economic information is useful for all companies and its stakeholders for decision-making and to provide information about the company’s financial position. The company has to consider the different needs of information and interests of the various stakeholders with the economic information in order to provide relevant information to all stakeholders. Employees’ are an internal primary stakeholder that plays an important role within a company. However, previous research has mostly focused on the company's communication of economic information to external stakeholders. Thus, it is interesting to study how communication of economic information to employees looks like and if employees have sufficient knowledge about the economic information. The purpose of this paper is to create an understanding of how communication of economic information looks within companies. The purpose is achieved through qualitative interviews with both the sender of the economic information perspective and the employees', the receivers. The result of the study shows that there is a gap of knowledge due to the deficient internal communication of economic information. This is due to the fact that employees have limited knowledge about the economic information and the senders of the economic information do not always take into account the employees' knowledge. This is because there is generally insufficient understanding of what economic information means and therefore an information gap arises because employees do not understand which economic information that is needed to satisfy their interests.

    We set out to compare two different categories of workers: the, so called, white- and blue collar workers. The studies aim was to measure if there were any observable differences between the two in means of optimism and sense of coherence. There are two tools created for measuring optimism and sense of coherence, the Life Orientation Test – Revised (LOT-R) measures an individual’s level of optimism and Aaron Antonovsky devised a test for measuring an individual’s level of sense of coherence (SOC). Optimism is best explained like a way to measure anticipation, how an individual expect future events to fall out. SOC is best described in what manner said individual copes with life and its events.The result was analyzed with help from scientific theories such as Marx theory of alienation, The Life Mode Analysis and the Regulatory Focus Theory. The Regulatory Focus Theory can best be described as a motivational theory as it has a main focus on the individual’s aims and goals. Marx’s theory of alienation was chosen because it offers thoughts on how work affects an individual’s person.Whilst conducting the study we observed a clear correlation between the tests (LOT-R and SOC), high scores in one test correlated with high tests in the other as well as the opposite. This was further analyzed as it posted an interesting viewpoint on the relationship between optimism and sense of coherence.The results were not showing a big difference between the groups. It did however show a small one, which was consistent throughout all parts of the tests. Members of career life mode showed consistently higher values throughout the conducted test to which we offer a number of possible explanations.

    Changing the servicescape: The influence of music, self-disclosure and eye gaze on service encounter experience and approach-avoidance behavior2016Doctoral thesis, comprehensive summary (Other academic)
    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this thesis is to investigate and understand the effect of a servicescape’s ambient and social conditions on consumers’ service encounter experience and their approach/avoidance behavior in a retail context. In three papers, with a total sample of over 1600 participants (including 550 actual consumers) and seven experiments, the author investigates the effect of music (ambient stimuli), employees’ self-disclosure (verbal social stimuli) and employees’ gazing behavior (nonverbal social stimuli) on consumers’ service encounter experience and approach/avoidance behavior in a retail store.

    Paper I comprised two experiments, and the aim was to investigate the influence of music on emotions, approach/avoidance behavior. Paper II comprised two experiments, and the aim was to investigate the effect of frontline employees’ personal self-disclosure on consumers’ reciprocal behavior. Paper III comprised three experiments, and the aim was to investigate the influence of employee’s direct eye gaze/ averted eye gaze on consumer emotions, social impression of the frontline employee and encounter satisfaction in different purchase situations.

    The results in this thesis show that music affects consumers in both positive and negative ways (Paper I). Self-disclosure affects consumers negatively, in such a way that it decreases encounter satisfaction  (Paper II) and, finally, eye gaze affects consumers by regulating both positively – and in some cases also negatively – consumers’ social impression of the frontline employee and their encounter satisfaction (Paper III).

    The conclusions of this thesis are that both ambient and social stimuli in a servicescape affect consumers’ internal responses, which in turn affect their behavior. Depending on the purchase situation, type of retail, and stimuli, the internal and behavioral responses are different.

    The purpose of this paper is to investigate how frontline employee self-disclosure influences consumers’ reciprocal behavior. To investigate the effects of frontline employee self-disclosure, two experiments were conducted with a total sample of 475 participants. The results show that when frontline employees disclose personal information in one-time encounters, they are perceived as less competent and more superficial. The results also show that self-disclosure negatively affects reciprocal behavior, but that this is mediated through liking, competence, superficiality, and satisfaction. These findings suggest that it is not always beneficial for employees to use self-disclosure as a strategy for garnering a consumer's trust or satisfaction, which counters previous research that suggest that disclosure of personal information is a good way to positively influence consumers in the retail environment.

    Abstract [en]

    This aim of this study is to enhance the understanding of customer behavior and customer experience in the context of city centers and peripheral shopping centers and how the use of digitalized services affects this experience. In this paper we adopt a qualitative approach to explore consumers´ activities when visiting a city and/or a shopping center and the experiences connected to the visit. The study is based on data from 832 (55% female) with a M age = 48 years (range 17-91 years) consumers.

    When visiting a city center and/or a shopping center, customers engage with a variety of different touchpoints (Socchi, Hart and Haji, 2016). From a customer perspective these touchpoints create experiences that generates many types of values. In recent years, the mass media has warned for the demise of city and shopping centers commerce. This purported demise is mainly due to the strong growth of e-commerce. To meet this competition, the retail and hospitality industry has developed strategies to create new customer experiences and thus attract customers back to the city center’s physical places. As a consequence of the technical development, companies frequently try to influence customers’ experiences through various digitalized services, where these digitalized service have the potential to improve customer experience by providing superior and personalized services (Roy et al. 2016). The question is what impact such services have on customers’ experiences and how this, in turn, affects the profitability of the retail and hospitality industry as a whole.

    In order to shed light on the activities and experiences of visitors to city and shopping centers regular consumers were approach during a regular visit to such an area and asked to answer a few open ended questions.  The data was analyzed using thematic analysis. Thematic analysis aims to identify and report on thematic patterns across the sample, which allows researchers to make interpretations of the data that reflect the reported reality of participants (Braun and Clarke, 2006; Hayes, 2000; Ruane and Wallace, 2013).

    The preliminary analysis of the data shows a variety of activities and touchpoints when visiting the city and shopping center. Seven themes emerged in our analysis of the participants´ responses: Relationship, Goal fulfillment, Experiences, Physical venue, Milieu, Practical usability and Non-intrusive.

    In order to make more sense of the seven themes a model were developed. In this model three of the themes were connected to the customer, two connected to the service provider and the last two connected to digital technology. These three clusters interact in different ways.

    The customer cluster contains the themes relationships, goal fulfilment and experiences. The themes in this cluster describe and vivifies the customer. The customer is not just a “shopping robot” jumping from touchpoint to touchpoint along a customer journey. The customer instead is a person with goals to fulfil but at the same time someone who has a great need of relationships on different levels and a person who will and want to experience things.

    The service provider cluster contains two themes. One were named physical venue and this is where the service provider, be it a storeowner or a restaurant owner for example, has the most direct control. It is also where the customer will go to fulfil his or her goals. Here the direct contact between customer and service provider can and will take place. The second theme in this cluster were named “milieu”. The milieu can be the space the customer needs to pass in order to get to the physical venue or other factors that the service provider do not have control over (e.g. public spaces and weather)

    The third and most interesting cluster concerns the digital technology, named practical usability and non-intrusive. Digitalization is highly interesting when it comes to the relationship between the customer and the service provider. The first theme described the importance of the usefulness of digital technology, and  in regards to digitalization the results indicates that digitalized services mostly fulfill utilitarian needs and works best in functional touchpoints. The theme called non-intrusive describes the relation between the customer and the digital technology. It may be somewhat drastic to talk about a two edged sword but on the one hand digital technology makes life easier and sometimes more joyful and at the same time the technology may disturb goal activities which leads to negative experiences.

    These findings is important because it offers help to those managing city and shopping centers in identify touchpoints that need to be digitalized and those who need to be reinforced through social activities This knowledge could also help managers develop strategies to create new customer experience, i.e. create good valuescapes, and thus tease customer back to the city and shopping center´s physical places.

    Purpose – The research concerns the effect of frontline employees’ averted or direct gaze on consumers’ evaluation of the encounter. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate that in normal interactions, a direct or averted gaze affects people’s evaluation of others. The question was whether this finding would hold true in commercial interactions.

    Design/methodology/approach – The authors conducted three experiments using a written scenario with a photograph among a total sample of 612 participants.

    Findings – This research showed that consumers’ social impression of the frontline employees mediated the effect of the employees’ gazing behaviour on consumers’ emotions and satisfaction with the encounters. The findings also showed that averting gaze had a negative effect on consumers’ first impression of the frontline employee, which affected consumers’ satisfaction with the encounter. The findings also showed that a direct gaze had a negative effect on encounter satisfaction when consumers sought to purchase embarrassing products.

    Originality/value – The research demonstrated that the effect of gaze on encounter satisfaction was mediated by the social impression and moderated by consumers’ approach/avoidance motivation.

    Köpcentra är utsatta för hård konkurrens och kan ha svårt att utmärka sig bland andra centra. Problemet för köpcentra är att erbjuda kunder något unikt som får konsumenter att vilja besöka dem. Det kan även vara svårt för köpcentra att få en överblick över sina kunder på samma vis som enskilda handlare har. Mobila applikationer är ett medie som används allt mer i marknadsföringssyfte. I uppsatsen benämns ordet applikation för ”app”. Det finns många appar där befintliga kunder belönas genom att delta i ett lojalitetsprogram. Tanken med ett sådant lojalitetsprogram är att behålla befintliga kunder samt även få dem att återkomma och bli lojala. 

    Syftet med denna kandidatuppsats i informatik är att identifiera och beskriva vilket innehåll i en lojalitetsapp som bidrar till att öka kundlojalitet hos konsumenter gentemot ett köpcentrum. 

    En kvalitativ studie har utförts i form av sju personliga intervjuer med konsumenter, samt en telefonintervju med centrumledaren på det valda fallföretaget Triangeln i Malmö. Genom dessa intervjuer har en kartläggning av viktiga faktorer för att göra en bra app varit möjlig. För att en app ska generera lojalitet krävs det att appen används av konsumenter samt att appens innehåll bidrar till att konsumenterna vill besöka köpcentrumet. För att en app för ett köpcentrum ska bli använd krävs det att konsumenter känner till att den finns. Det bästa sättet att nå konsumenter med information om appar är genom ”word of mouth” som benämns som mun-till-mun kommunikation. Det betyder att ordet sprids genom att två människor pratar med varandra. Det krävs också att appen har ett specifikt syfte som konsumenter tycker är värd att lägga tid och energi på. Om en app dessutom är underhållande skapas ett engagemang där både nytta och nöje kombineras och som medför att konsumenter vill fortsätta använda den. För att konsumenter ska vilja använda en app bör den även vara enkel att använda och ha ett gränssnitt som känns rätt utifrån det syfte som den ska användas till. 

    För att ett innehåll i en app ska leda till att besöksfrekvensen på köpcentrat ökar krävs att appen genererar en händelse i utbyte mot ett besök. Det kan exempelvis vara att konsumenten får någon förmån för besväret. Spelifiering ("gamification") är ett begrepp som blivit mycket populärt. Det innebär exempelvis IT-system som influeras av spel för att göra dem underhållande och inspirerande. För att spelifiering ska fungera som ett inslag i en lojalitetsapp för ett köpcentrum bör spelifieringen kombineras med nytta. Om appen endast är underhållande utan någon egentlig nytta eller värde kommer konsumenternas intresse avta efter en tid. 

    Det framgår även i undersökningen att marknadsföring är av stort värde när konsumenter väljer vilket köpcentrum de ska besöka. Konsumenter är generellt ovilliga att dela med sig av information på sociala medier om det inte är relevant. Dock kan de tänka sig att dela med sig om platsen som de besöker är speciell eller omtalad. Detta betyder att ju mer ordet om köpcentrat sprids så ökar chansen fler konsumenter besöker det och även hjälper till att sprida ordet. För att marknadsföringen ska lyckas krävs engagemang hos den som vill marknadsföras. Ju mer engagemang köpcentrum visar desto mer engagerade blir konsumenter.

    Abstract [en]

    This paper compares and contrasts how linguistic transfer has been incorporated in English course books for year 7 and year 11 in Swedish schools. This study has focused on finding explicit and implicit reference to transfer and interference in English course books for Swedish students by identifying references from the authors where they have pointed to similarities and differences between Swedish and English. The results of the study showed that comparisons between the languages were used in all books, but explicit references were more common than implicit references. Of the four different linguistic levels (pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, pragmatics) examined in this study, grammatical comparisons were the most frequent. However, the authors of the books for year 7 used more comparisons between the languages than the authors of the year 11 books. One conclusion that can be drawn from the present study is that it is up to the authors of the course books to decide to what extent they should compare and contrast the two languages, since the national curricula for the subject English give no indications of how the subject of transfer should be dealt with in language acquisition.

    Uppsatsen behandlar rekryteringsprocessen samt hur man kan identifiera och undvika psykopater vid chefsrekrytering. Syftet är att undersöka hur HR-personal och bemanningsföretag går till väga vid rekrytering samt hur väl rekryteringsprocessen fungerar för att undvika psykopater. Syftet är också att undersöka hur rekryteringsansvariga ser på fenomenet psykopater i arbetslivet och hur dessa kan anses vara en felrekrytering. 

    I uppsatsen används inte den medicinska definitionen av begreppet psykopat. När vi nämner psykopater i uppsatsen krävs endast att personen uppvisar vissa personlighetsdrag som enligt teorin anses vara psykopatiska.  I den teoretiska referensramen går vi djupare in på vad som avses med begreppet psykopat, egenskaper hos dessa personer och vilken problematik de kan orsaka på arbetsplatser. Teorin behandlar också rekrytering och att man bör vara så noggrann som möjligt vid rekryteringens olika delmoment för att kunna undvika psykopater. Särskilt viktigt är skapandet av kravprofil och referenstagningen. I teorin framkommer även att en felrekrytering bland annat är att kandidaten inte klarar av att utföra sitt arbete eller att förväntningarna hos kandidaten inte stämmer överens med tjänsten. Vi redogör också för vad som kan orsaka en felrekrytering samt vilka problem detta kan leda till hos organisationerna.

    För att besvara syftet och frågeställningarna har en kvalitativ metod använts vid genomförandet av undersökningen. Sex intervjuer har genomförts, varav tre var med personer som arbetar på HR-avdelningar inom offentlig sektor, en som arbetar på en HR-avdelning inom privat sektor samt två personer som arbetar på bemanningsföretag. Vårt resultat och analys visar att respondenterna i stort använder sig av en liknande rekryteringsprocess, men att noggrannheten i de olika metoderna skiljer sig åt mellan respondenterna. Det visar sig ha stor betydelse för hur säkra processerna är gällande att undvika psykopater. Skillnaderna märks också inom organisationerna, där de är mer noggranna vid chefsrekrytering eller rekrytering av känsliga befattningar. Resultatet visar skillnader mellan bemanningsföretag och HR-avdelningar. Bemanningsföretagen har både säkrare processer vad gäller att undvika psykopater samt större medvetenhet om fenomenet psykopater i arbetslivet. Undersökningen har som utgångspunkt att psykopater är en felrekrytering vilket också bekräftas i resultatet. Ett intressant resultat som dock framkom i undersökningen är att psykopater inte alltid behöver vara en felrekrytering utan i vissa sammanhang kan ses som en fördel.

    Uddeholm Swedish Rally är ett anrikt rally som utvecklats till att bli ett stort evenemang och del av en internationell rallytävling med hög status. Tävlingen lockar stora skaror svenska och utländska besökare vilket har ekonomisk betydelse för regionen. Genom högre kunskap om tävlingen och dess effekter finns förutsättningar för ett i framtiden än bättre evenemang och fortsatt viktig roll för turismnäringen. Studiens syfte löd enligt följande:

    Det huvudsakliga syftet med utvärderingen av Uddeholm Swedish Rally 2005 är att kartlägga de ekonomiska effekter som evenemanget genererat i Värmlands län. Vidare kommer mediebevakningen av evenemanget beskrivas.

    Ett underordnat syfte är att redogöra för deltagarnas, publikens och medierepresentanternas synpunkter på Uddeholm Swedish Rally. Vad anser dessa grupper om miljöarbetet, säkerheten, servicen och inte minst upplevelsen vid evenemanget?

    Jämförelser kommer att göras med resultatet från utvärderingar av två andra WRC-rallyn samt Uddeholm Swedish Rally 2003.

    Flera olika metoder användes för att samla in det empiriska materialet. Under evenemanget befann sig grupper om fyra personer ute vid specialsträckorna och genomförde kortare intervjuer med besökarna. De besökare som gav sitt medgivande har i ett senare skede kunnat lämna ytterligare information vid enkätutskick och telefonintervjuer. Medierepresentanter, ansvariga för de tävlande teamen, personer från regionens näringsliv, intresse- samt turismorganisationer har kontaktats och bidragit med information.

    Studien visar att antalet besökare minskat lite jämfört ned 2003. Det styrks även genom uppgifter från turismnäringen som uppger en minskad efterfrågan på antalet bäddar. En förklaring kan vara en oro för att rallyt skulle ställas in på grund av det milda vädret. Uddeholm Swedish Rally lockar en internationell publik och majoriteten av de utländska besökarna utgörs av norrmän. Beräkningar visar att besökarna lokalbefolkningen borträknad har utgifter på cirka 28 miljoner kronor i samband med evenemanget. Motsvarande siffror för media samt deltagarna uppskattas till ungefär 2,5 respektive 8 miljoner kronor. Summan visar att evenemanget utgör viktig ekonomisk faktor för regionen men en stor del av inkomsterna lämnar regionen och hamnar på riksnivå. De utländska besökarnas ekonomiska utlägg kan läggas till svensk turismexport. Inkomsterna har stor betydelse för näringslivet i regionen i en tid då det annars är få turister i området. Evenemangets ekonomiska betydelse är störst i området kring Hagfors medan den är mer begränsad i Karlstad, hotell och restaurangbranschen undantagen. Medias växande intresse för evenemanget på plats men även i tv-sändningar globalt, vilka har betydelse inte bara för varumärket Uddeholm Swedish Rally utan även för marknadsföringen av Sverige i stort.

    Uddeholm Swedish Rally anses som evenemang hålla en hög nivå. Arbetet för att höja säkerheten och förbättra miljöarrangemanget har enligt respondenterna gett resultat även om det finns vissa saker att arbeta vidare med. Rallyupplevelsen och den totala upplevelsen av evenemanget är enligt besökarna stor även vid en jämförelse med andra WRC. Evenemangets svaghet är det som erbjuds besökarna utöver själva rallyt. Ett större utbud av logi, restauranger, nöjen och kringaktiviteter efterfrågas. Organisationen kring evenemanget uppskattas och får beröm. Överlag är både deltagare och media belåtna med arbetsförhållandena även om främst den senare gruppen har förslag på förändringar.

    Abstract [en]

    The aim of this study is to gain knowledge of how six dance teachers view their work regarding assessment in Dance, in upper secondary school, within the new subject-and course syllabus from 2011. The study also aims to find out how the dance teachers go about in the feedback development dialogue in dance. The aim of the study is based upon my interest of assessment and how I further can find and develop different methods of assessment. The methods of the study are based on three qualitative interviews, as well as three interviews via e-mail. The interviewees have been chosen to participate in the study due to their students who major the Esthetic Programme, orientation Dance. The interviewees have also been chosen due to teaching within the new subject-and course syllabus. The result of the study demonstrate that the dance teachers find that the subject-and course syllabus is steering all of their work with assessment, as well as planning of courses and lessons. They also perceive the new subject-and course syllabus as very explicit. The result also shows that the dance teachers use formative assessment (assessment for learning) during the academic year. Summative assessment is used before grading, when they assess the students’ development and achievements. All teachers perceive one difficulty with assessment. They account for a shortage of time when it comes to assessing all elements of each course. During the feedback development dialogue in dance, the teachers are communicating in a formative way and present the students’ current position in the learning process, and how to reach further. In addition to rating and grading in the feedback development dialogue, all the teachers want to reinforce and strengthen the self-confidence of their students and also emphasize the students’ positive development.

    Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur pedagoger arbetar med hållbar utveckling i förskolanoch hur det konkretiseras i arbetet med barngruppen, samt hur barnen inkluderas i detsamma.Syftet är även att undersöka om arbetet med hållbar utveckling sker medvetet eller omedvetet.Studien kommer att utgå ifrån ett fenomenologiskt perspektiv där arbetet med hållbarutveckling utformas efter barnens egna erfarenheter och intressen, samt ur ett sociokulturelltperspektiv där samspel med omgivningen är grunden till barns lärande. Undersökningenbelyser hur det konkreta arbetet ser ut i förskolan men är även starkt kopplat till ettdemokratiskt synsätt där barns inflytande bör genomsyra arbetet med hållbar utveckling iförskolan.Den metod som använts är semistrukturerade intervjuer med pedagoger iförskoleverksamheten. Intervjumetoden har gett en tydlig och detaljrik data till studien.Undersökningens resultat visar att barns egna erfarenheter är en viktig aspekt för barnslärande, och att barnen även lär i samspel med sin omgivning. I resultatet så blir det synligt attpraktiskt arbete och samspel leder till diskussioner och reflektioner som sedan i sin tur ledertill ett utvecklat lärande om hållbar utveckling.

    Social media has become a big part of people's daily lives and therefore provides a great opportunity for organizations and businesses to reach out to more people. Although organizations have had a few years to find strategies adapted to social media, there are still many who see it as another channel to merely informing and market instead of using it to create relationships with the audience. This essay aims therefore to examine how Friends, who is a non-profit organization, communicate on Facebook to build and nurture relationships with their audiences. A relationship between the organization and the audience are based on a shared interest in each other and a mutual commitment. The study is based on theories of social media, engagement, dialogue and relationship-building communications to create a greater understanding of how a not-for-profit organisation use Facebook as a relationship-building communications channel. The methods used in the study is a quantitative content analysis to get an overall picture of the content of Friends Facebook page and the way it engages the audience and a qualitative content analysis to deeper analyze how Friends communicates to create relationship and engage their audience and how they handle the dialogue in the comment field. With the help of the methods, Friends Facebook page where studied in the form of posts, comments to posts, likes, shares, and answers to comments. The results of the analysis show that Friends partly are using Facebook to reach out with information about the organization and its purpose, but also use Facebook to engage the audiences in different ways. This is done by, among other things, encourage the audience to go out and contribute to a better society themselves and through entertaining and gratifying message that is linked to the organization's values. Friends uses many relationship-building elements in posts like giving thanks and recognize the audience, personal addressing and emotionally charged words. They also treat different kinds of comments in a way that is tailored to the commentary, which means that they mimic a real dialogue. In many of the comments Friends uses a personal approach and a personal signature that facilitates continued dialogue.

    Various research initiatives have highlighted the importance of learning both in and between projects, which means that the entire organization will benefit from learning experiences ultimately. Learning in and between projects is therefore a critical success factor for successful projects in the future. This paper is aiming to examine knowledge conversion within and between municipal projects, with em-phasis on whether these processes differ between successful or unsuccessful pro-jects. With the methodology consisting of qualitative - deductive thematic analy-sis, conducted as a case study, - with triangulation as a validation tool – the study revealed some differences in the formalization based on a project's result. The successful project is more likely to result in explicit, rather than tacit, knowledge. This knowledge dimension is achieved through internalization, externalization and combination-processes – whereas the unsuccessful project can consist of so-cialization as well as internalization, as a result of differences in the externaliza-tion of knowledge between projects.

    Sverige är indelat i kommuner och landsting, vilka på demokratin och den kommunala självstyrelsens grund sköter de angelägenheter som anges i kommunallagen. Dessa angelägenheter måste rymmas inom ramen för den kommunala kompetensen för att anses utgöra en kommu-nal angelägenhet. Denna uppsats har som syfte att undersöka denna kompetens och vilket rättsligt utrymme kommuner ges när de enligt 2 kap. 8 § 2 st. KL riktar individuellt stöd till enskilda näringsidkare.

    I uppsatsen används den traditionella rättsdogmatiska metoden. Metoden avser en under-sökning av gällande rätt med hjälp av rättskällematerial; lagtext, förarbeten, rättspraxis och juridisk doktrin. Utöver den rättsdogmatiska metoden förhåller sig uppsatsen till ett inomrätts-ligt perspektiv som utgår ifrån en rättspositivism som avser en strukturanalys av den positiva rätten. Den rättsdogmatiska metoden, likt den rättspositivism som uppsatsen förhåller sig till, avser argumentation på rättskällenivån. Därav framgår inga rättspolitiska inslag utöver de problem som förekommer inom det rättsliga problemområde som undersöks.

    Bilparkeringsplatsen är något som under en väldigt lång tid har vart en självklar del av staden likaså har ägandet av en egen bil har varit en självklarhet. Detta har gjort att stora delar av stadens yta har tagits i anspråk av bilparkeringsplatser, vilket har bidragit till att skapa platser i staden som endast några få kan utnyttja. Det här tillsammans med att allt fler människor väljer att bosätta sig i staden ökar antalet bilar vilket leder till att konkurrensen av stadens yta ökar allt mer, vilket bidrar till att stadens yta måste tas tillvara på ett mer effektivt sätt för att klara av den höga efterfrågan. Detta gör att stadsplaneringen blir än viktigare. Även stadsmiljön påverkas negativt av att bilantalet ökar, då luften försämras och bullernivåerna och slitaget på stadens gator ökar. För att skapa en trivsammare och hållbar stads- och bostadsmiljö krävs det att åtgärder genomförs för att minska bilantalet i staden kan parkeringsfrågan vara en del. 

    I den här studien kommer jag att lyfta fram vilka planeringstrender som finns i dagens stadsplanering vad gäller parkering och alternativa transportlösningar som finns för att minska bilägandet och bilanvändningen och behovet av parkeringsutrymme. Jag kommer även att presentera hur olika aktörer, byggherrar och kommun, ställer sig kring frågor som berör parkeringsfrågan och olika alternativa parkeringslösningar. Kommer även att presentera hur de boende i två utvalda centrumnära bostadsområden ser på parkering och bilägande.

    This study aims to find out how a selection of teachers think they work with literacy development in compulsory schools early ages. The aim is to give an insight into the teaching of reading comprehension can look like in practice, what role teachers believe that the caregivers have in their children´s literacy development and get an insight into how teachers motivate their students to want to read. The study is conducted through qualitative semi-structured interviews with four teachers based from the aspect that gain knowledge of how informants perceive their social reality. The survey shows that in common reading teachers model reading strategies to the students, then the student practice using them on their own. Reading strategies help students to consider texts at different levels. In accordance with the sociocultural perspective, the teachers in the study mean that the discussion may have access to new experiences and opinions, which help one to develop a new understanding of the world around them. The teachers find that caregivers' involvement in children's reading is of great importance to reading development. Motivation to read comes from considering the students' interests and when students understand that reading is important for them.

    Denna FoU-rapport redovisar resultatet av en utvärdering av Mobilt resursteam Karlstad som genomfördes vid FoU Välfärd Värmland under 2018 på uppdrag av Karlstads kommun. Utvärderingens syfte var dels att studera hur de äldre, som får hjälp genom Mobilt resursteam Karlstad, upplever att det påverkar deras situation. Dels hur medlemmarna i det Mobila resursteamet upplever det nya arbetssättet och hur det förändras över tid. Vidare avsåg utvärderingen att studera hur patientansvarig sjuksköterska upplever att det nya arbetssättet påverkar möjligheterna att med stöd av det Mobila resursteamet ge äldre en god vård.  Karlstads kommuns vård- och omsorgsförvaltningen och Landstinget i Värmland tog tillsammans under 2016 och 2017 fram en ny vårdform för de mest sjuka äldre i Karlstad, Mobilt resursteam Karlstad. Teamet har under utvärderingstiden bestått av fyra läkare, tre distriktssköterskor och en samordnare från Karlstads kommun.  Det Mobila resursteamet har riktat sig till äldre personer över 65 år som har haft beviljad hemsjukvård och flera allvarliga sjukdomar.Under utvärderingstiden har intervjuer genomförts med multisjuka äldre som tar del av det Mobila resurstemates arbete, gruppintervjuer har genomförts med läkare och distriktssköterskorna i teamet och enskilda intervjuer har skett med den kommunala samordnaren som varit kopplad till teamet. Dessutom har gruppintervjuer genomförts med patientansvariga sjuksköterskor som i sin yrkesroll har kommit i kontakt med det Mobila resursteamet och deras arbete. Resultaten av utvärderingen visar att både de multisjuka äldre och de professionella som arbetat, eller har kommit i kontakt med teamet, upplever att det Mobila resursteamets arbetssätt ger förhöjd upplevd kvalité i vården.

    This qualitative study aimed at exploratory describe ambulance staff’s perceptions of patients

    with mental illness and how they view their role when attending these cases. Ten employees

    within the ambulance participated in the study and semi-structured interviews were used in

    collecting data. Thematic analysis was used for analyzing data. From the analysis three main

    themes that narrate ambulance staff’s perceptions of patients with mental illness were created.

    The first theme was The challenge in facing patients with mental illness. The theme has three

    sub-themes, Valuable attributes and abilities, The encounter and treatment and Staff’s safety.

    The second main theme, Frustration and feelings of insufficiency, includes two sub-themes,

    The inaccessible care and The need for knowledge. The third main theme The perceptions of

    the assignment and the patient includes no sub-themes but stands on its own.

    In the stories of ambulance staff’s perceptions of patients with mental illness it’s made visible

    how the role of the ambulance staff, when attending these cases, becomes the one of a fellow

    creature before the patient and a negotiator before other organisations. Aspects that cause

    barriers for nursing in these situations are also highlighted, like an inaccessible psychiatric

    care and different approaches within the ambulance.

    Abstract [en]

    The Swedish curriculum for preschool were revised in 2010. In the updated and developed version of the curriculum science has been given greater emphasis with new and improved course objectives. One reason for the revision was the decline in interest for science later in life and the drop in number of students who pursue a higher education in science. The preschool teachers now have the responsibility to include the subject in the daily routine. Thus, the management must see to that the teaching staff possesses the skillset necessary to complete the task at hand. The purpose of this study is to investigate which impact the revised curriculum has had regarding science in preschool. Further, the aim is to investigate what kind of support the teachers have had with the curriculum and if they, themselves, consider their skillset to be adequate to fulfill the course objectives. To answer the questions posed, a qualitative interview method was used. Nine interviews were conducted out of which six with preschool teachers and three with preschool managers. The results indicate that the teaching staff does not fully comprehend the curriculum or how to use it in regard to science and the use of science in the preschools. The study has also shown that the lack of support during the implementation of the revised curriculum may potentially have had a negative effect on the will and skillset of the teaching staff thus hampering the work with the course objectives. To be able to give science an equal part in the curriculum as other subjects and to expand the work with science in the preschools further education of the teaching staff is needed, as well as more support from the management.

    Feedback and digitalization: A qualitative study of the feedback methods of Swedish teachers of English at upper secondary school2019Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

    The aim of this study was to examine what methods Swedish teachers of English use to give feedback on students’ written production and what factors influence them to choose these methods. An additional aim was to find out what teachers’ experiences are of digitalization in relation to feedback on students’ written production. Five semi-structured, qualitative interviews were conducted with five certified English teachers who were currently active in upper secondary school. The results showed that the teachers used different methods when giving feedback on students’ written productions. Nonetheless, all of them mostly use formative feedback in the form of written comments. Four out of five respondents let their students submit texts through digital tools, Itslearning or DigiExam, but then printed them and handed them back with handwritten feedback of different sorts. One respondent gave all feedback electronically. When the teachers chose their methods, the most influential factors were available time, lacking student engagement and the fact that the school management team chose which digital tools that should be used. The fact that no teachers were involved in the decision about which digital tools should be used severely limits teacher autonomy and may be the reason why at least two of my respondents did not want to use these tools, which in their experience do not meet their feedback needs.

    The purpose of this study is to investigate parental perceptions of the significance of reading aloud for children ́s reading development at home and in school, and the interaction between home and school in the area concerned. The aim is also to examine if the parents ́ socio- cultural background influence their perceptions. The study was conducted in cooperation with a project that took place in the first grade at a public school in Sweden, which aimed to strengthen the cooperation between home and school.

    The socio-cultural perspective forms the study ́s theoretical basis and its methodological approach is based on phenomenology. The empirical data consist of a survey and qualitative interviews with the intention to get to know the parents ́ own perceptions. As for the informants involved in the study, they have been selected among the parents of the children who are participating in the first year of the project.

    The study highlights that the parental perspective has largely been lacking previous research. The results of the study indicate that the parents ́ socio-cultural background does not have any significant impact on their perceptions of the significance of reading aloud for children at home and in school. Parents perceive that reading aloud at home and in school and a collaboration between home and school are important for children ́s reading development. The study also finds that the parents see themselves as important actors when it comes to reading aloud situations, which in itself beneficial for the children ́s reading development.

    Abstract [en]

    This essay focuses on the alienation experienced by Rusty-James in S.E. Hinton’s Rumble Fish (1975). It more specifically centers on the causes of his alienation and how the alienation is illustrated in the novel. The analysis shows that the alienation Rusty-James experiences is caused partly by socioeconomic factors; for example his lack of hope for the future is closely connected to the fact that he belongs to a low socioeconomic class. In addition, there are also psychological factors, for example a childhood trauma. The alienation and its causes are mainly illustrated through the symbolism of the featured Siamese fighting fish and how Rusty-James’ relationships are depicted.

    Syftet med studien är att ur ett lärarperspektiv ge en inblick i elevers läsvanor utanför skoltid och hur dessa påverkar deras läsförståelse samt läsutveckling. Frågor som är både kvantitativt analyserbara och av kvalitativ karaktär har använts för att utforma en webbenkät som sänts ut i forum på nätet utformade för pedagoger och lärare. Resultatet visar framför allt en positiv syn till läsning oavsett vilket förmedlande medium det sker genom. Den textanvändning och de textmöten som sker på fritiden skiljer sig dock från skolan. De lärare som deltagit använder sig av flera olika läsutvecklande metoder i sin undervisning. För att elever ska läsa mer på fritiden krävs det ett aktivt stöd ifrån vårdnadshavare och från skolan samt ett samarbete mellan båda parter. Det är skola och föräldrar som skapar möjligheter för elever att använda olika sorters resurser och verktyg för läsning vilket kan begränsa användandet av nya pedagogiska möjligheter och möjlighet till andra sätt att lära.

    The aim of this study is to contribute knowledge about how some students in the 9th grade perceive the learning environment, and the process of inclusive education, in the classroom in which they study Swedish. It also aims to present their thoughts on how the learning environment can be improved to support the development of reading and writing skills. The theoretical framework of this study is a sociocultural perspective on learning. The method chosen is a form of qualitative structured group interview. The questions are based on the aim of the study, where the student perspective plays a central part of the content.

    The results of this study show the importance of overcoming obstacles in the physical, pedagogical and social learning environment to create inclusive and beneficial conditions concerning students´ reading and writing skills. Actions surrounding the learning environment create a secure and functioning school where all students have the possibility to develop. The results also show the importance of letting students provide their perspective on an accessible learning environment. To listen to students and to allow the students´ voices to be heard are significant parts of the school curriculum. Children and students have a right to participation as this creates a sense of security, which is a condition for learning to be acquired.

    Syftet med undersökningen är att få en förståelse för medarbetarnas upplevelse av en organisationsförändring på ett företag i den privata sektorn. Studien syftar även till att ta reda på vilka faktorer som skulle kunna påverka upplevelsen. I studien har en kvalitativ metod använts med intervjuer som datainsamlingsteknik varav totalt har nio intervjuer genomförts. Åtta av intervjuerna skedde med medarbetare på företaget och en intervju med en person ur ledningsgruppen. Resultatet av undersökningen visar på faktorer som har betydelse för upplevelsen varav företagets geografiska läge hade störst betydelse för upplevelsen av förändringen, då det bidrog till en upplevelse av meningsfullhet med förändringen. Detta till trots att deltagarna var missnöjda med stora delar av förändringen. De upplevde de ändå en meningsfullhet med den eftersom företaget kunde leva vidare och alla anställda fick behålla sin anställning. Resultatet visar också att det geografiska läget bidrog till en upplevelse av att förändringen till en viss grad var påtvingad, då det fanns få andra alternativ på arbetsmarknaden. Alternativet till förändringen upplevdes dessutom vara att företaget skulle varsla en stor del av personalstyrkan, vilket upplevdes som ett ännu sämre alternativ. Därför accepterade deltagarna ändå i stor utsträckning förändringen trots att de inte var nöjda med den.

    The purpose of this study was to try to interpret interactions between social worker and adoptive parents during the adoption process from a power perspective. The study was inspired by a hermeneutic inductive approach because we were interested in the interpretation of the empirical material. The study was conducted using four qualitative interviews with a total of seven people, four adoptive parents and three social workers. The collected material is then analyzed using a content analysis. To interpret the contact between the adoptive parents and social workers, we have used a power perspective. Our study showed that the applicant, generally speaking, was positive to that an investigation was made based on “the child’s interest”, but experienced some of the questions as intrusive. They found that the assessment made was crucial for the decision, and that it easily can vary from case to case for the decision and that the assessment can certainly vary in different cases. The social workers did not feel that they had any noticeable power, because they do not make the final decision. Their assessment was partly based on laws and guidelines that set the context, for example, how old the applicants may be and the requirement that the applicants must be married. Assessments are also made on the social worker’s individual characteristics based on the applicant's personal qualities such as insight and ability to care for a child.

    The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there are fundamental differences in methodologies and pedagogical approach between violin pedagogues of the genre of Swedish folk music. The comparison focuses on teachers with and without formal music teacher education in the genre. Four qualitative telephone interviews were the basis for the study, where two people each represented those with and without a degree. The theoretical starting point for the study has been the socio-cultural perspective. The results demonstrate that there is more connecting than separating the four teachers ate. Here is an emphasis on ear training teaching, joy and musical function, which belongs to the tradition of the Swedish folk music genre. This way of working is connected to the socio-cultural perspective, where tradition, social context, and physical artefacts are in focus. However, it is possible to see a clearer part of institutionalized knowledge among the teachers with formal teaching qualification. These teachers have a greater use of notes and a slightly more pronounced progression in education. They also have a greater openness to all music, while those without a music teacher education more purely focuses on Swedish folk music and what the genre's history is based on.

    Identitets- och åtkomsthantering innebär att hantera systemanvändares identiteter och deras åtkomst till olika system. För att kontrollera att en identitet är den som den utger sig för att vara och tilldela rätt åtkomst utefter detta används autentisering och auktorisering. Karlstads kommun genomförde nyligen ett projekt med syftet att modernisera den dåvarande plattformen som hanterade kommunens användarkonton och öka automationen på ett säkert och effektivt sätt.

    I denna uppsats har kommunens arbete med identitets- och åtkomsthantering undersökts för att ta reda på hur de arbetar med identiteter och åtkomst och om projektet har bidragit med nytta som de anställda kan gagnas av. För att ta reda på detta har fyra intervjuer genomförts med involverade i projektet på Karlstads kommuns IT-avdelning samt tre personer i olika verksamheter i kommunen för att få både projektdeltagarnas och verksamheternas uppfattning.

    Resultatet av intervjuerna visar att projektet har resulterat i en uppdaterad plattform som bidrar med ett antal nya funktioner. Bland annat användarkonton som skapas automatiskt, förenklad inloggning med tillgång till fler resurser och möjlighet till flera engagemang till samma konto om en användare till exempel både är anställd och elev i kommunen. Slutsatsen för denna undersökning är att plattformen har skapat många nya möjligheter och att mer funktionalitet kommer i framtiden. Arbetet har förändrats för enstaka anställda men de flesta märker ingen större skillnad ännu.
