    Hur lär vi oss saker? Vad är kunskap och hur når vi kunskap, är några frågeställningar som jag genom åren har funderat på. Inför min kommande yrkesroll är det av största vikt att jag är medveten om och aktivt arbetar för att mina elever får maximal möjlighet att ta till sig kunskap. I detta arbete har jag sammanställt en liten del av den litteratur och forskning som finns om kunskap och kunskapande. Utgångspunkten är hämtad från Bildning och kunskap, särtryck ur läroplanskommitténs betänkande: Skola för Bildning (SOU 1992:94), samt Matti Bergströms forskning om hur hjärnan fungerar vad beträffar inlärning. En annan viktig utgångspunkt är Olga Dysthes bok Det flerstämmiga klassrummet, där Dysthe visar att elevernas egna röster är viktiga för deras förståelse för och utveckling av den egna kunskapen. Jag har även använt mig av Skolverkets rapport över deras nationella kvalitetsgranskning av undervisning. De har påträffat tre olika miljöer i skolor som de kallar A-, B- och C-miljöer. A-miljön är närmast lik Dysthes flerstämmiga klassrum, men är också den miljö som minst förekommer ute på skolorna. För att undersöka hur undervisningen ser ut i praktiken har jag använt mig av en modell över hur undervisning kan vara. Modellen bygger på två axlar där polerna är konstruktion respektive konsumtion av kunskap, samt ämnets logiska struktur respektive elevers frågor. Därefter har jag gjort fallstudier och jämfört undervisningen på en kommunal gymnasieskola och en fristående gymnasieskola i Karlstads kommun, för att se om undervisningen på skolorna är vad forskare menar en undervisning som befrämjar kunskapande. I studien ingår även en enkätundersökning i en klass på vardera skola. Enkätundersökningen omfattar totalt 40 respondenter.

    Abstract [en]

    This project has been a first attempt by the student to use service design in a real project. The problem was that in the health care today exists big problems due to bacteria and viruses such as winter vomiting disease strikes entire wards and forces the hospitals to close them which in turn causes huge financial loses. Winter vomiting disease is highly contagious and all it takes is someone to forget to wash his or her hands properly for the virus to spread to the entire ward.

    In this project service design methodology has been used to find out why contagious infections exist on the orthopedic clinic at Central hospital in Karlstad and also what can be done to improve hand hygiene and reduce the risk for further spread of contagious infections at the orthopedic clinic.

    Observations were made at the clinic from the view of patients, nurses and doctors. Service design methods such as customer journeys and desktop walkthroughs were used to visualize patients’ journeys and create solutions together with doctors and nurses to create the possibilities for better hand hygiene.

    The result was a concept that increases the visibility of the hand rub stations and a proposition on how these stations shall be positioned at the clinic.

    The name “To do an Albin” was coined due to the field studies that were done at an orthopedic clinic by one of the projects contacts at Värmland County Council.

    Research was also made into how service design has been part of health care development both nationally and internationally, and how service design can contribute to better health care.

    The work was made in the course Degree Project for Degree of Bachelor of Science In Innovation and Design Engineering (MSGC12) at the University of Karlstad. Monica Jacobsson has supervised the project and Fredrik Thuvander has been examiner.

    Abstract [en]

    Today's fast-changing organizations often strive to stay competitive in the labor market, which tends to place increasing demands on the efficient dissemination of knowledge. In many cases, an organization chooses to use the project format to complete the tasks. A projects temporary nature means additional handling experience and lessons learned, especially when there is a risk that the experience is wasted when a project is finished. For this reason, there are many methods and theories that explain how the organization should capture the lessons learned and disseminate them between projects. One method consists of routine and structured creation of final reports, which includes the experience to be captured, stored and archived.

    The purpose of the study is to identify trends regarding the handling of the final document and the options available to spread and share experiences and lessons learned at Karlstad University.

    Two research questions were formulated to answer the purpose of the study:

    • How does the handling of the final document work at Karlstad University?
    • How does project managers perceive the opportunities to distribute and share lessons learned between projects at Karlstad University?

    A qualitative approach has been applied where we performed five interviews with project managers at Karlstad University. The empirical data were then analyzed on the basis of our theoretical framework of matters, including various coordination mechanisms, the final report and in particular the transfer of knowledge and the problems that may arise regarding this phenomenon.

    The results indicate that the informal channels perceived strong within the organization, where close contact had a significant role in knowledge transfer. The final document is made from a formal template, which is a relatively new procedure for the organization. This development has been seen as very positive because it contributes to a wealth of experience in the organization. However, we have been able to see trends that there are difficulties in accessing the final reports through the organization systems, partly because project management has tended to be a “IT-matter”. We have also been able to see a demand for a more structured system that is placed centrally in the organization. Finally, we have been able to discern some tendency’s that indicate that a project office would serve as a potential tool to the structure and certain problems that the respondents are experiencing.

    Key words: Terrorism, Islam, September 11, content analysis The aim of this essay is to investigate whether the description of Muslims in Swedish newspapers has changed after September 11, 2001. By doing a content analysis of Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet, I have investigated the newspapers’ international pages and the series of articles that followed regarding the attacks on the US. I have investigated articles published in the period between September 12 and 16 of 2000, 2001 and 2004. The investigation made clear that the use of words related to terrorism increased remarkably directly after September 11. The increase of words related to Islam was large, but these words did not increase to the same extent as the words related to terrorism did. However, the changes lasted over time, as the investigated period of 2004 showed an increase of the amount of both words used, in comparison to the amount of words used during the investigated period in 2000. Whether there is a connection between the amount of words related to terrorism used and words such as Muslim, my investigation do not tell. In one sense, the investigation shows that there is no clear correlation between the increasing use of words connected to either terrorism or Islam.

    Abstract [en]

    In Lake Vänern, Sweden, commercial, sport, and subsistence fisheries in the 1990s and the beginning of 2000 caught about 75 tons of salmon and trout. Catches of salmon and trout appeared to have declined in recent years, although there is much uncertainty in catch estimates. In order to better understand smolt-adult mortality, a number of Carlin-tagged salmon and trout are released in Vänern and Klarälven each year. The aim of the study was to assemble and analyze the Carlin-tag database for salmon and trout in Vänern during the years 1965 to 2005. My objectives were to identify long-term trends in tag returns rates in both Vänern and Klarälven, and to assess whether return rates varied by release location (Vänern or Klarälven). Microsoft Excel was used to compile and analyze reported recoveries of Carlin-tagged salmon and trout from 1965 to 2005. Linear regression was used to assess trends in return rates of four stocks, Gullspångsälven and Klarälven salmon and trout. Total 299 165 tagged fish in 388 release groups have been released in Vänern over the 40-year period. Total recaptures were 14 504, which equates to just under 5 % of the number of Carlin-tagged and released fish. Recapture rates have varied throughout the years (<1 % - >20 %), the highest return rates were in the 1970s – 1980s, but they have decreased significantly since the 1990s. These trends are similar for all four stocks. Most of the recaptures occur in the lake, return rates of fish released in the lake are most often caught in the lake than are fish released in Klarälven. Finally, revealed that no salmon or trout that were released in the lake were recaptured in the Klarälven.

    Abstract [en]

    Over recent decades recreational fisheries have grown substantially throughout the world. Despite this increase, catches from recreational fisheries have often been ignored in fisheries management, although this is now being remedied. Monitoring recreational fisheries can be expensive, and the primary means used for monitoring is angler (creel) surveys, typically funded from sales of fishing licences. The studies presented in this thesis examine different approaches to monitoring recreational trolling fisheries’ catch and effort, where fishing licenses are not required and there are no reporting requirements. I present results from a complemented roving/mail-in survey undertaken during 2013-2014 to estimate recreational effort and catch of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) and brown trout (S. trutta) in the largest lake in the European Union, Lake Vänern, Sweden. I also evaluate different angler catch reporting methods (mail-in, tournament reports and face-to-face interviews) and compare catch rates within and among spring and fall fishing periods. In addition, mail-in survey data are examined for recall bias.

     

    I estimate that 28.7 tonnes of salmon and trout combined were harvested by the recreational trolling fishery in 2014, more than the commercial and subsistence fisheries combined. Seasonal differences in both recreational effort and catch were observed. Effort, in boat hours, was significantly higher in spring than in fall. Catch rates of trout were higher in fall than in spring, but there were no seasonal differences in catches of salmon. Harvest per boat day did not differ significantly among catch reporting methods, indicating that all three methods could be useful for managers interested in harvest rates. In contrast, total and released catch per boat day differed among reporting methods, with tournament anglers catching more fish in total. Finally, there was little evidence for recall bias in mail-in surveys, indicating that mail-in surveys are useful for collecting unbiased catch data. My study is the most comprehensive angler survey to date for Lake Vänern, and my results should be of immediate use to local fisheries managers and should also be of interest to researchers and managers interested in estimating catch and effort for fisheries at large spatial scales.

    Europe has, since the economic crisis of 2007, gained increasing social segregation. The gap between rich and poor has increased and the large number of hidden statistics regarding people excluded from the labor market is greater than in many years. Social exclusion has thus taken a toll on community groups that already before the crisis had a hard time getting included. Groups such as young, elderly, immigrants and people with mental of physical disabilities. To curb this development, the European Commission have, since the 2004 directives, enabled public sector clients to, through procurement of goods, services and contracts, include measures that promote social consideration.

    Social consideration is a term that have been a part of Swedish procurement legislation since 2007, and was updated in 2010. This update meant that the meaning of this term was given greater weight and that clients were more clearly encouraged to use the term.

    The term social consideration have proven to be an unclear term, both in European tutorials and governmental investigations. Investigators describe the possibility as difficult to interpret and legally complex. To enable a smooth implementation, an open dialogue between clients and contractors have been recommended. A dialogue which, according to this study based on personal interviews, is being missing, partly or completely, in many places around central Sweden.

    The goal and purpose of this study is based on a range of issues surrounding the concept of social consideration and its impact on the public sector in Sweden. What is being done, what is wanted and why. The personal interviews where conducted with municipal housing companies and municipalities in order to reconcile the current state of the new contract term.

    These interviews clearly show that the term social consideration is known by the majority of public clients in central Sweden. However, only one out of seven interviewees have hitherto pushed through a work contract with predetermined requirements on social considerations. Notable though, is that three out of seven interviewees where in the process of publishing work contracts with the instituted social demands criterion.

    The justification for why the remaining parties did not, or where not planning to, set social standards in public work contracts was motivated mainly by the absence of knowledge in the subject. Clearer evidence and better guidance was considered a linchpin for future implementation. It was consistently put forth that social responsibility can lead to good future synergies for both society and their own company. But the design of how to set the requirement or requirements and in what stage, is something that every interviewed party had its own opinion about.

    Despite divided opinions on how and at what stage social considerations should be included in public procurement, there is a unified voice among the interviewed parties saying that the concept of social responsibility and consideration is here to stay.

    After the Cold War a new world-order is in the making. The 1990s prove to be a seminal decade for sketching the contours of the emerging order. This developing order indicates a change in the legitimate use of force.



    As civil wars erupted world-wide, the international community managed these conflicts by an unparalleled use of UN-interventions, the most legitimate type of intervention. Where to allocate these interventions and which states decide to do so are argued to have long-term implications for the legitimate use of force. Detecting a pattern of these events suggests what to expect of the future use of force, and how to understand it.



    Over the past two decades the research known as the Democratic Peace Proposition (DPP) has shown that democracy affects the use of force (e.g. war) between states. Capitalising on these findings, this study centres on the three questions of how democratic norms affect states' commitment to UN-interventions, armed conflicts receiving a UN-intervention and the relationship between committing states and armed conflicts.



    The thesis uses unique data on states' monthly participation to all UN-interventions in the 1990s, to analyse the relationship between state commitment and democracy. The findings suggest tendencies, together indicating a significant development in our understanding of when multilateral use of force is to be expected. The democratic states' preference to intervene in lesser democratic states is very likely to affect the incidence of UN-interventions.

    The purpose of this study is to investigate the attitudes of Swedish elementary school teachers when it comes to homework. Do they use homework in their classes? What are the reasons that they use homework? What kind of homework do they use? The study also check if there are teachers that don ́t use homework and why they don ́t.

    The method at use is a survey where elementary school teachers answer questions about the use of homework. The survey were posted in a Facebook-group for elementary teachers. Except for the questions about homework there were some background-questions. Based on the answers a result were acquired.

    The results of the survey were that a large majority of the teachers that answered use homework. Even though they are not regulated in any of the governing documents available for the Swedish school. The main reason why homework is used by a large majority is to help the children enhance their reading ability.

    Three musical instruments – One voice. A study of the conversion process between a woodwind instrument to another. This area includes the flute, oboe and the alto saxophone. This study is based on observations of a six-week rehearsal process in relation to a sample of previous research and academic papers in the field. The study is aimed to explore the conversion process when I switch from one wind instrument to the other. This is to provide a deeper insight into a multiinstrumentalists everyday life and highlight all the phenomena that form the basis of the play for each instrument and then be included in the conversion process. This qualitative study is based on a life-world perspective and method logbook writing and video documentation. The result is supported by two themes: Inner voice and change of instrument-muscle change representing mental and physical actions. After the result is a discussion that is related to the literature and previous research in the area. The work concludes with thoughts about its importance as well as opportunities for future research.

    The report intends a thesis work within the machine engineer program at Karlstad University, the employee is Metso Paper Karlstad AB

    Metso Paper produces tissue machines for the paper industry and also performs service and development of these products. Tissue is soft paper which includes hygiene paper and table napkins. Focus in the task is to reduce the cost of the reel drum, which is a detailed component in a tissue machine. The reel drum is a drum which is assembled in the end on the paper machine, in the area where the paper is rolled up on spools. The analyzed items have the dimensions; diameter 900mm with the length 2825 mm and diameter1100 mm with the length 5550mm.

    Initially, the reel drum’s main functions were analyzed, which can be summarized:

    • That with vacuum transport the point (narrow paper chute) from the point swindle groove to the surface between the reel drum and the reel spool

    • To support paper during winding on the reel spool

    • To create a pressure against the reel spool so that a driven torque arises. The torque is required because the reel spool has no own power supply.

    The task was divided in two parts for a simpler procedure,” new structure” and ”improvement and efficiency improvement of existing structure”

    New structure treats calculations concerning the thickness of the shell and choices of alternative materials. Improvement and efficiency concerns how the current structure can be simplified and the production process improved. The result demonstrates that today's structure is unnecessary thick, the shell thickness l can be reduced with maintained function properties. To produce the shell in steel instead of cast iron gives lower purchase cost of materials for reel drums in diameter 900mm, buying to shells at the time almost reduces the material cost with 50%

    In order to make the existing structure and the production process more effective must certain parts of the casting be carried out with higher precision, criteria such as: thickness, roundness and presence of rest products should be taken into consideration. Higher casting precision makes the following machine work easier.

    Finally there exists a big potential to reduce the cost of the reel drum. Important criteria’s that is to be considered are: dimensions, materials and more effective processing.

    Abstract [en]

    This paper is about how you, through the use of different messurements, check if the indoor air quality (IAQ) of a primary school is acceptable or not. The school we've checked was taken into use in the early 90s, and having a healthy inside environment was one of the main parts. Nonetheless, this school has recieved many complaints on unhealthy inside environment. For us, the main work has been to make different messurements so that the community of Karlstad easier might get an idea of where the problem is, in order to correct it. In the paper you can read about how you define a healthy inside environment, what messurements we have made as well as an ending discussion. The result of the research is that the temperature and the carbondioxide is within the projected values. Neither air outputs, relative moisture nor background noise stand the demands of the primary schools of the community of Karlstad. Low exhaust air volyme rate is the primary problem. The output is 20% below the stipulated flow.

    Barn med koncentrationssvårigheter finns i nästan alla klasser. Att barn inte kan koncentrera sig beror på många olika saker. Det kan bero på deras situation hemma, att de oroar sig över att det ska hända något eller de kanske inte vet vad som krävs av dem i speciella situationer, eller så har de kanske inte förmågan att sitta still. För mig som blivande lärare känns det som ett måste att veta vad orsakerna kan vara till att ett barn inte kan koncentrera sig, vad är det annars för mening att bedriva undervisning i klassrummet om barnen inte kan koncentrera sig. Då måste man veta hur man på bästa sätt kan arbeta förebyggande, har man ingen kunskap om problemen så är chanserna mycket små. När jag läst en del litteratur växte tre frågeställningar fram: - Vilka metoder använder pedagoger för att förebygga och åtgärda koncentrationssvårigheter? – Vilka problem/hinder upplever lärare i arbetet med barn som har koncentrationssvårigheter? - Vilket stöd/samarbete kan den enskilda läraren få i arbetet med barn som har koncentrationssvårigheter? Ur frågeställningar växte också uppsatsens syftet fram, ett syfte som är att undersöka hur pedagoger arbetar med yngre barn som lider av koncentrationssvårigheter. Min undersökning, bestod av fyra intervjuer med lågstadielärare för att se hur de arbetar med barn som har svårt att koncentrera sig. Vad undersökningen visat är att pedagogerna har likartade definitioner om barn med koncentrationssvårigheter. Att det är barn som har svårt att sitta still och måste ha koll på vad alla andra gör, blickar som vandrar iväg och att de inte färdig ställer sina uppgifter. Pedagogernas sätt att förebygga och åtgärda koncentrationssvårigheter är att vara konkreta, tydliga och ha fasta regler och rutiner. Situationer då problemen uppstår är framförallt de situationer då det sker förändringar av något slag. En sådan situation är till exempel då det kommer en vikarie till skolklassen eller då den enskilde eleven känner motgång av något slag. Om läraren i sådana här lägen känner att det blir jobbigt finns det dock åtgärder att vidta, bland annat ett elevvårdsteam och i vissa fall också möjlighet att få extra resurser. Dessa extra resurser ses av pedagogerna dock endast som tillfälliga lösningar. Viktigt är även att barnen får stöd hemifrån. Nyckelord: koncentrationssvårigheter - elever - skolan - pedagog

    Abstract [en]

    The aim of this study is to examine arguments that have occurred in the debate concerning de, dem and dom during the past three years in Sweden’s six biggest newspapers (Dagens Nyheter, Expressen, Göteborgs-Posten, Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet och Sydsvenskan, this according to Tidningsutgivarna [TU]). The arguments are collected from articles via the article search tool Retriever. Different search strings were tested in Retriever’s search field in order to find articles regarding the dom-debate. Eventually the search strings and phrases ”de och dem”, ”de/dem” and ”dom-debatten” resulted in most hits. Based on specific selection criteria, 26 articles remained. During the same period of time, the study also set out the examine which of the pronouns that are most used in written language: the informal version dom or the formal version de and dem, using Språkbanken’s concordance tool Korp. In this way, the study demonstrates a connection between the arguments that occur in today’s debate and the actual user statistics. Furthermore, the results are also compared with Språkrådet’s recommendation regarding these pronouns. As such, the results in this study present the debate’s temperature and the pronouns user statistics, which eventually lead to conclusions about the current de-dem-dom-climate. Content analysis of the arguments and user statistics revealed that de and dem are used more frequently than dom in written language. It also concludes there are more arguments supporting a continuing use of de and dem in media during the last three years, compared to arguments supporting a dom-reform during the corresponding period of time.

    Sammanfattning

    I mitt arbete har jag tagit reda på om tecken på dyslexi redan kan visa sig hos små barn i förskolan. Jag har genom att intervjua förskollärare och specialpedagoger undersökt om hur man arbetar och hjälper dessa barn som kan ha problem med språket på olika sätt. Jag har kommit fram till att orden dyslexi inte ofta förekommer i förskolan men att de i de flesta fall arbetar med den fonologiska medvetenheten och språket genom olika lekar och övningar. Jag har även kommit fram till att böcker och högläsning har en viktigt funktion för dessa barn. Allt eftersom arbetet har fortskridigt har jag förstått mer och mer att man i förskolan arbetar mer brett för att täcka in så mycket som möjligt. Det läggs inte fokus på att det just skulle vara t.ex dyslexi som är det särskilda problemet för just ett speciellt barn. Min uppfattning är att man jobbar bra och medvetet i förskolan med språket, men att mer fokus skulle kunna läggas på att hjälpa de barn som har tydliga språkproblem tidigt och inte vänta allt för länge. Mitt syfte med detta arbete är att själv få inspiration och mer kunskap att använda i min framtida yrkesroll i förskolan. Jag vill lära mig mer om vad jag kan göra för att hjälpa barn som visar tecken på dyslexi. Det har varit mycket intressant att läsa bra litteratur och att intervjua duktiga pedagoger.

    Abstract [en]

    The concept 'mess-understanding' has circulated in online media and is so prevalent that it is now included in the Urban Dictionary. The folk concept of mess-understandings is a pun for misunderstandings arising in an online media context. Posting one's own or others' miscommunication and/or typographical errors has grown to be a popular way of sharing humor via cross-platform sharing on the Internet. The aim of this paper is to analyze short message service (SMS) dialogues shared in social media, with a special emphasis on those with the highest degree of 'shareability' and/or popularity. The study specifically focuses on understanding linguistic and communicative reasons behind these dialogues being treated as humorous by users. As such, the study aims to shed light upon current cultural conceptions of communication and humor. Data was collected from the photo sharing website Pinterest from users who had posted or reposted 'screen shots' from their own or others' SMS conversations. In order to collect as much valuable data as possible, a manual search strategy was developed with three different word strings which resulted in a corpus of 160 dialogues. Content analysis of the data revealed certain recurrent humor themes, such as allusions to sexual conduct or bodily functions, generation gaps, technology difficulties, and lexical ambiguity.

    Abstract [en]

    This study’s aim is to examine which arguments that occur, in three popular teaching aids in upper secondary school’s grammar education, to learn grammar. The study is carried out through a comparative teaching aid analysis of three common teaching aids that deal with grammar, based on 20 teachers authentic choice of teaching aids. Through these teaching aids, a compilation of the arguments is carried out. Furthermore, the study also consists of a questionnaire that aims to examine student’s outlook on these arguments, but also their perception on grammar’s relevance and utility in school’s education. The students get to describe if they think that the teaching aid’s arguments are legitimate. To combine a study of which arguments that occur in popular teaching aids of why students should learn grammar, with a questionnaire of student’s outlook on these arguments, thus show if students find the teaching aids’ arguments to be justified – hence can we know if the argument holds according to the students. It is highly relevant to examine how popular teaching aids motivates students to learn grammar, since previous research show that grammar education is faced with big problems, like for instance student’s ability to understand grammar’s relevance and usefulness in relation to school. The study’s result shows that the majority of the students actually consider grammar to be important – but also that they think that grammar is boring. Furthermore, the study also shows that the majority of the students consider nine out of the ten arguments to be legitimate. The study moreover shows that the majority of the students, after taking part of the arguments, thought that grammar was important even before they saw the teaching aid’s arguments, and almost one third answered that the arguments had helped them realize the importance of grammar.

    Karlstads kommun planerar att exploatera den idag obebyggda tomten Sandbäcken 1:1 på södra Råtorp. Flera detaljplaneförslag som tillåter hus med max tre våningar och inredningsbar vind har lagts fram men inget förslag har ännu vunnit laga kraft, på grund av överklaganden från Länsstyrelsen. De anser att bullernivån allmänt är för hög för bostadsbyggande på denna plats. Vi omges ständigt av ljud. Bakgrundsbuller är en påfrestning för människors psyke och detta har börjat uppmärksammas mer och mer. Idag finns det en ökad efterfrågan på ljudklassade bostäder. Vid hårt trafikerade vägar används ofta bullerskärmar för att göra boendemiljön mera dräglig. Bäst effekt får en bullerskärm om den står nära bullerkällan. Det är även viktigt att den är tät då ljud har en förmåga att smita in genom springor och öppningar. Fasaden utgör byggnadens ljudskärm och kan bestå av ett flertal delelement, och det är viktigt att man kombinerar dem rätt för att få ut maximal ljudisolering av väggen. Husen kan användas som skärm så att en tyst sida skapas. Byggnaderna bör då ligga med långsidan mot bullerkällan och den vägg som ska fungera som en skärm måste vara dimensionerad för att klara bullret. Fönstren är den del av fasaden som släpper igenom mest ljud och den enklaste åtgärden för att skapa en bättre innemiljö är att montera en extra glasruta på det befintliga fönstret. I dag finns det inga bindande krav på ljudnivåer som måste uppnås vid nybyggnation av bostäder i Sverige. Ett antal förslag, rekommendationer och råd har tagits fram, men inga av dem har ännu blivit juridiskt fastställda. De rekommendationer som granskas i denna rapport är Infrastrukturpropositionen 1996/97:53, Svensk Standard 02 52 67 och Statens offentliga utredningar 1993:65. I längden är detta system av rekommendationer och råd ohållbart. För närvarande håller Boverket, i uppdrag av regeringen, på att omarbeta kapitel 7 i BBR (Boverkets Byggregler) som rör bullerskydd. Våra slutsatser är baserade på beräkningssimuleringar i Nova Point Buller. Bullernivåerna längs med Råtorpsvägen är höga och svåra att få ned med hjälp av skärmar. De riktvärden för den bullerutsatta sidan som anges i Infrastrukturpropositionen och Handlingsplan mot buller klaras ej. Högre bullernivåer kan tillåtas om byggnaderna kan ses som ett komplement till redan befintliga bostäder eller om hänsyn till områdets i övrigt goda kvalitéer tas med i åtanke. I övrigt klarar kvarteret de rekommendationer som finns vad gäller god innemiljö och tillgång till en tyst sida. Husen måste dock utformas och orienteras så att de tillsammans bidrar till att skapa en god boendemiljö. Det går att bygga bra bostäder som har en god boendemiljö om bullerproblematiken tas med tidigt i projekteringsstadiet. För att möjliggöra byggnation av bostäder i tätorter måste man dock tillåta högre bullernivåer på gatufasader, och det är då extra viktigt att alla lägenheter har tillgång till en tyst sida.

    Abstract [en]

    Kvaerner Kamfab AB, that manufactures machines for the cellulose industry, have produced a new wash press , designed by their parent company, Kvaerner Pulping AB. Kvaerner Kamfab AB think that the new wash press will dominate their future production. To get an idea of the need for capacity under different terms of delivery at production of the new wash press, named COMPACT PRESS, an analysis was needed. The purpose of this thesis was to design a tool for production simulation at manufacture of COMPACT PRESS. The terms that were given, were to analyse the need for capacity if the time of delivery for one COMPACT PRESS should not exceed 4 months. We were also to give an image of the need for capacity in case of an order for 6 pieces of COMPACT PRESS at 2 and 3 weeks’ pace of delivery respectively. The tool has been made by using the computer programs Microsoft Project and Excel. Using this tool, bottlenecks are identifiable and makes it possible to make decisions on suitable actions to optimise the production. This report presents the different parts of the tool, and the conclusions that can be made when analysing the different documents. The conclusions we made were in short: * Today, one COMPACT PRESS can be manufactured within 4 months, but the purchase of material prolongs the time of delivery by 8-9 weeks. It is therefore recommended that the company should discuss storage of certain material. A “stock keeping table2” is included as a help in such discussions, where the consequences regarding time and economy for stock keeping are shown. * The process of inspecting the goods after different treatments during the production of a COMPACT PRESS is very time consuming. At each inspection, the details must be transported to a special work station to be checked by special staff. If the production staff were given education in how to perform some of the inspections themselves, time could be saved. * At a delivery pace of 2 weeks for 6 machines, the bedding mill, the shrink station (an industrial oven) and the turning station of the company will be bottlenecks. At 3 weeks’ delivery pace, only the bedding mill is a bottleneck. * The present workshop layout is fitted to the present flexible production of Kamfab. In case of manufacture of COMPACT PRESS only, the workshop layout should be redesigned to minimize the queuing and transporting hours, which today take up almost 50 % of the total lead time. In the conclusion, a suitable continuance of the usage of the tool is mentioned. We also suggest that a model to increase the usability is made.

    Kvaerner Kamfab AB tillverkar avancerade produkter för cellulosaindustrin. Produkterna och systemen som tillverkas utgör viktiga delar i massaindustrins arbete för att göra produktionen effektivare och säkrare. På grund av att de flesta produkter som tillverkas på Kvaerner Kamfab är av betydande storlek är det svårt att kontrollera formriktigheten. Detta gör att det går åt mycket tid till uppriktning och kontrollmätning. Med hjälp av beröringsfri mätteknik hoppas man kunna underlätta arbetet i verkstaden och därmed minska uppmätningstiden och felmätningar. Vår uppgift har varit att undersöka vilka aktörer och tekniker som finns på marknaden. Vi har även tittat på vilka möjligheter det finns att använda sig av dessa tekniker på Kvaerner Kamfabs produkter. Ett koncept på en mätstation har tagits fram för uppmätning av i första hand toppsilen. Vi har även utarbetat förslag på lösningar till införing och radiemätning av plåt i valsen samt godsfördelning av bearbetningsmån i fräsmaskiner och arborrverk. De tekniker som vi har studerat är: Laserscanning, optisk scanning, visionteknik, ultraljudsmätning och lasergivare. De båda scanningsteknikerna går att tillämpa i verkstaden men de är i dagsläget lite för tidskrävande och komplicerade. En enklare mjukvarudel skulle behöva utvecklas för att göra det mer användarvänligt. Visionteknik och ultraljudsmätning uteslöts för att de inte lämpar sig så bra för den här typen av mätning. De slutsatser som vi kan dra av detta arbete är att det i dagsläget inte finns någon generell mätutrustning som täcker alla de krav som Kvaerner Kamfab ställer.

    Abstract [en]

    The aim of my study is to increase the knowledge, other people’s as well as my own, of how we can organize a way of teaching that is adjusted to each pupil’s need based on the individual learning style in order to satisfy future pupils’ chances of the best learning. I will answer the question what I as a pedagogue need to consider when planning my teaching based on the pupil’s individual learning style. I have made qualitative interviews with teachers that consciously consider the pupil’s learning style in their planning. In my study I have, among other things, come to the conclusion that it is easier for the teacher to make an analysis of each pupil when planning his or her teaching based on individual learning styles, but that this by no means is a necessity since the strategies might change over the years. The most important thing is to make the pupil understand his or her own learning process and that the teacher varies the teaching. Another fact that produces good results is the acceptance of differences among the pupils. The methodology must consist of a marked structure and holistic thinking when starting up a new theme. All new and difficult information must be integrated by help of the pupil’s strongest strategy. It is important to analyse oneself as a teacher to learn what learning and teaching strategy is the most dominant, since this can influence the pupil’s chance of getting the best learning. The classroom environment plays an important role in the pupils’ learning and should be adjusted to their needs. The great pleasure these interviewed teachers take in their work is, according to them, due to the fact that the pupils feel a greater joy and understanding of what they do in school. There are four keywords: individual adjustment, learning styles, the learning process and methodology.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this study is to examine how some teachers’ teach in order of supporting pupils in the middle school that are at risk for reading and writing difficulties to understand different texts in social study subjects and science studies.

     

    Theoretical basic points in the study are based upon the sociocultural perspective for the single person’s language, mind and learning in development.

     

    Methods that have been used are observations according to observation scheme with subsequent teacher interviews inspired by the method stimulated recall. The interviews with the teachers’ were about that they described their teaching on the basis of what was visualized during the observation.

     

    The result shows that teachers’ express that they would like to work language supportive and developing. However, they have different point of view on how they can work with reading comprehension in their teaching.

     

    The study shows that all teachers use multiple strategies in their teaching and I discovered six areas that supports pupils to understand texts. Two of these areas describes by the teachers as good teaching methods as well as they leads to a higher participation among the pupils. To elevate the pupils base knowledge on a consciously way was one strategy and the second was that some teachers use a consciously teaching in reading strategies with supporting structures and with help of an explicit training in order of supporting all pupils.

    Finanskrisen som förändrade hela världens ekonomiska situation kom till Sverige under hösten 2008. Media har ägnat krisen stor uppmärksamhet och som följd har en stor osäkerhet skapats och flertalet människor känner sig inte lika ekonomiskt trygga längre. Osäkerheten kan i sin tur ha lett till att människors konsumtion förändrats. Enligt nyhetsartiklar har detaljhandelsföretag påverkats i olika stor omfattning av finanskrisen och den lågkonjunktur som råder.

     

    Oavsett konjunktur är varulager en stor post hos detaljhandelsföretag och det är viktigt att den värderas på ett rättvisande sätt. Förutom värderingen måste företagen även se till att ha en bra balans mellan att kunna möta kundernas efterfrågan och samtidigt hålla kostnaderna nere. Balansen styrs till stor del av företagens inköpsrutiner.

     

    Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur detaljhandelsföretag i Karlstad går tillväga vid varulagervärdering och inköp, och om finanskrisen påverkat värderingen, inköpsrutinerna samt kundernas köpbeteende. För att få svar på frågorna i problemformuleringen har intervjuer genomförts med nio detaljhandelsföretag i Karlstad.

     

    Slutsatserna av studien är att detaljhandelsföretagen har olika tillvägagångssätt vid sin värdering av varulager, men att en genomgående tillämpning av lägsta värdets princip (LVP) sker. Finanskrisen har inte påverkat varulagervärderingen utan de områden där förändring skett är till viss del kundernas köpbeteende men framförallt detaljhandelsföretagens inköpsrutiner.

    Abstract [sv]

    Min uppsats behandlar huvudpersonen Malte i Sven Delblancs roman Speranza. Det som jag framförallt tar upp i min uppsats är begreppet frihet och vad det betyder för Malte. Med hjälp av Maltes utveckling och de övriga karaktärerna i romanen analyserar jag Maltes kamp i konflikten mellan frihet och ordning, hans kamp för att välja sida. Analysen visar på att frihetsbegreppet är mer komplext än det först kan verka, speciellt i den situation som Malte hamnar i. Jag visar att frihet kan ha en betydelse i teorin, men en helt annan betydelse när denna teori ska praktiseras i verkliga livet. Jag behandlar också romanen ur en socialhistorisk synvinkel. Där tar jag upp varför jag anser att romanen kan ses både som samtida och historisk och hur skeppet speglar ett samhälle i miniatyr. Undersökningen avslutas helt kort med en analys av hur läsaren kan påverkas av texten.
