    Abstract [en]

    There are many processes, tangible and intangible, that affect a company's development. One important characteristic of successful companies is the ability to quickly assess and further improve the competence of the employees. Accounting for intangible assets including competence is a challenge in the accounting field. We have based our research on the need for new forms of accounting and claim that competence is promoted by dialogue and the employees' understanding of the various tasks in an organization. As a supplement to accounting in the form of key ratios we introduce accounting with the help of key words, narratives and pictures. Empirically we have shown that accounting in these terms leads to competence improvement

    Information för företaget framåt och med hjälp av information kan företaget skapa nya referenspunkter. Det finns många processer, materiella och immateriella, som påverkar ett företags utveckling. En viktig egenskap hos framgångsrika företag är deras förmåga att snabbt ta till sig, vidareutveckla och tillämpa den immateriella tillgången kompetens. Redovisning av immateriella tillgångar och däribland redovisning av kompetens är en utmaning inom redovisningsområdet. Vi har tagit vår utgångspunkt i behovet av nya former för redovisning och att kompetensskapande främjas av dialog och medarbetarnas förståelse för olika arbetsuppgifter i en organisation. Som komplement till redovisning i form av nyckeltal inför vi redovisning i form av nyckelord, händelseberättelser och bilder. Empiriskt har vi visat att redovisning i form av nyckelord, händelseberättelser och bilder leder till kompetensutveckling

    Qualification is the competence that is required for tasks related to wage labour. Competence is all the forms of knowledge possessed by the staff as well as their personal abilities. When qualification is related to competence, possible competence deficiencies become apparent. The first step in the process of describing competence deficiency is to specify the concept of qualification. This is achieved by means of Õsocial testsÕ, which may be considered as relevant data for controlling the improvement of competence. Empirical data are used to develop Õsocial testsÕ relating to qualification for two staff categories
