    Abstract [en]

    The evolution of mobile phones and mobile phone market is growing rapidly. Sweden alonesold approximately 3.8 million mobile phones in 2011, over half of which were smartphones.The use of a new technological device can often be problematic to begin with and differentstandards can developed. Therefore, we ask ourselves how easy it is to switch betweentoday's leading systems; how user-friendly are them for the new users of other systems?With the help of user testing, we test the systems Android 4 and iOS 6. We highlight areaswhere systems show deficiencies and provide suggestions for improvement; we also discussareas where one system has a solution to a more well-functioning manner. Data collectionwas done by usability testing on our test devices, the HTC one X and the iPhone 4, one testperson at a time and a total of eight people. The subjects were given a questionnaire withinformation to perform on the test object, this task were then given a difficulty rating and, ifpossible, a comment of the test subjects. The tests resulted in various problems of the testobjects , but the final result showed a high level of usability in both cases. We seeopportunities to improve both systems but in different areas.
