Syftet med studien är att undersöka pedagogiska metoder för att se om det går att utveckla metoder för läsförståelse. Det sker i studien en diskussion om gamla pedagogiska metoder jämfört med de moderna metoderna vi använder oss av idag. Metoderna som används i studien för att komma fram till resultat är baserad på tidigare forskning inom läsförståelse samt att intervjuer med verksamma lärare har skett. För att få en aktuell syn på ämnet. Resultatet som framgått är att metoderna vi använder oss av idag är vidareutvecklade metoder av de metoder vi alltid haft inom de svenska skolorna. Den utveckling som pågår med metoderna handlar mestadels om att utveckla de tekniska verktygen för att underlätta för elever att träna på läsförståelse. 

The purpose of this study is to examine teaching methods to see if it is possible to develop new methods for reading comprehension. There will be a discussion which old teaching methods and modern methods are compared. The methods are used in this study are based on previous research in the area; I have also conducted two interviews with practicing teachers. The result that emerged is that the methods we use today are further developed methods of those we always had in the Swedish schools. The ongoing development of methods is mostly about developing the technical tools to facilitate students to practice reading comprehension.
