Abstract [sv]

Syftet med studien var att kartlägga om det fanns ett samband mellan lärares kunskap om diagnosen ADHD och deras känslomässiga attityd inför elever med diagnosen samt om det fanns något samband mellan lärares kunskap om ADHD och vilka strategier de använde i klassrummet för att bemöta eleverna med diagnosen. Studien genomfördes som en enkätstudie där urvalet bestod av lärare i årskurs 1 – 9. Lärarna fick besvara kunskapsfrågor samt självskattande frågor angående attityd samt användande av strategi. En länk till en webbenkät mailades till 400 rektorer på olika grundskolor i Sverige. Om rektorn godkände skolans medverkan i studien vidarebefordrade han/hon enkätlänken till lärarna på respektive skola. Enkäten var en omarbetad version av den enkät som Kos (2004) använde i den studie som genomfördes i England. Enkätsvaren analyserades genom att sex olika linjära regressionsanalyser genomfördes. Resultatet visade ett signifikant samband mellan lärares kunskap, känslomässiga attityd inför elever med ADHD och självskattat val av strategi. 

Abstract [en]

The aim of the study was to map out if there were a relation between teachers knowledge about ADHD and their emotionell attitudes towards students with the diagnosis and to map out if there were a relation between teachers knowledge about ADHD and their choice of strategy used in the classroom to meet students with ADHD. The study was conducted as a survey study among teachers in grade 1 – 9. The teachers where to answear knowledge questions and self-rated questions about emotionell attitude and their choice of strategy. A link to a web survey was emailed to 400 principals in Swedish elementary schools. If the principal approved that the school participated in the survey he/she forwarded the email to the teachers. The survey was a remodeled version of the survey used by Kos (2004). The result of the survey was then processed as six linear regression analysis. The result shows a significant relation between teachers knowledge about ADHD, their emotionell attitude towards students with ADHD and their self-rated choice of strategy.
