Titel: Hur undviker man att bli en robot? – En studie om värdet av extern handledning för barnavårdshandläggare.

Författare: Christoffer Molin och Johannes Jakobsson.

Syftet med denna kvalitativa uppsats var att utifrån ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv studera barnavårdshandläggares upplevelser av handledning i relation till sitt yrke. Studiens övergripande syfte samt frågeställning har besvarats genom en analys av svaren från sex intervjuade barnavårdshandläggare. Den data som genererades har analyserats dels utifrån John Miners rollmotivationsteori dels utifrån Erwin Goffmans frontstage- och backstagebegrepp. Respondenternas utsagor har varit övergripande överensstämmande, kontentan har varit att handledning är en nödvändighet i deras yrke. Uppsatsens resultat synliggör att handledning har många fördelar för barnavårdshandläggare. Dessa var bland annat professionell utveckling, återhämtning och ökad förståelse för kollegor. En aspekt som framkom i studien var att handledningstillfället bör ha en avslappnande atmosfär för att handledningen ska vara givande.

Title: How does one avoid becoming a robot? – A study about the significance of external supervision in child protective services.

Authors: Christoffer Molin and Johannes Jakobsson.

The purpose of this qualitative essay was to from a hermeneutic perspective, study experiences of supervision among social workers in child protections services. The overall aim and questions of this essay have been answered through the analysis of interviews with six social workers. The analysis of the data was based on John Miner’s role motivation theory and Erwin Goffman’s fronstage and backstage concepts. The respondent’s statements was overall consistent, the essence was that supervision is a necessity in their profession. The essay's key findings revealed that supervision has several advantages for the supervised. These were among others professional development, recovery and increased understanding of one’s peers. An aspect that emerged was that the supervision session should have a relaxing atmosphere for the supervision to be providing.
