We´re building a house : A study abut childrens build and construction in the free play in preschool (English)
Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study was to explore how the children play with build and construction in the free play. I wanted to observe what the children where playing in theme of build and construction and how the environment inspired them to build and construct. Further i wanted too examine if i could see a difference between boys and girls play and interest relayed to build and construction. 

The study was conducted through an observation which is a qualitative research method. That method was chosen because i wanted to get close to the subject a wanted to research abut and i wanted to make my own point of view.

An interesting observation in this study was children's play and interaction relayed to build and construction. Also was the environments affordance an important aspects in this study. 

The result shows that children establish and explore their knowledge in the play with build and construction. The study also shows how the environments affordance affect the children what they choose to play with. The studies have shown which toy's kids prefer to build and construct with. The result question's the idea that exists round boys and girls different interest in build and construction.

Abstract [sv]

Syftet med denna undersökning var att undersöka hur barnen lekte med bygg och konstruktion i den fria leken. Jag ville observera vad barnen lekte i byggleken och hur miljön inspirerade till bygg och konstruktion. Dessutom ville jag undersöka om jag kunde se skillnader på flickor och pojkars lek och intresse kring bygg och konstruktion. 

Genomförandet av studien bygger på observationer som är en kvalitativ forskningsmetod. Metoden valdes för att jag ville komma nära det fenomen jag valt att forska om och bilda mig en egen uppfattning kring det. I denna studie var barns lek och samspel kring bygg och konstruktion intressant, men även miljöns erbjudande var en viktig aspekt i undersökningen. 

Resultatet visar på hur barnen förankrar och utforskar sina erfarenheter i bygg och konstruktionsleken. Studien visar också hur miljön påverkar barnen i deras val av lek. Studien har visat vilka leksaker som barnen föredrar att leka bygglekar med. Resultatet ifrågasätter också uppfattningar som finns kring pojkars och flickors intresse kring bygg och konstruktion.
