Abstract [sv]

Studiens syfte var att undersöka några lärares inställning till datorn i matematikundervisningen i årskurserna 1- 3. Samt att undersöka vilka hinder och möjligheter några lärare kan se med datorn som en del av matematikundervisningen. Det empiriska underlaget har samlats in från intervjuer med sex grundskolelärare som undervisar i matematik i någon av de utvalda årskurserna. De intervjuade lärarna arbetar på samma skola. Resultatet visar att lärarna har en positiv inställning till datorn i matematikundervisningen men trots detta så används inte datorn i så hög utsträckning. Detta på grund av att två starka hinder som framkom under intervjuerna, dels har inte respondenterna tillgång till många datorer dels upplever de att eleverna är i behov av mycket hjälp när de arbetar vid datorerna. Resultatet visar också att lärarna ser betydligt fler möjligheter än hinder med datorn i matematikundervisningen. Utifrån detta kan man dra slutsatserna att lärarna behöver kunskap om hur de ska få datorn till att bli en större och mer delaktig aktör i matematikundervisningen genom att till exempel ta hjälp av varandra och genom fortbildning.

Abstract [en]

The aim of this study was to find out some teachers attitude to the computer in mathematics education in grades 1- 3. Also to find which barriers and opportunities the teachers can see with the computer as a part of the mathematics teaching. The empirical material comes from interviews with six primary school teachers who teach mathematics in grade one, two or three. The teachers work on the same school. The results show that the teachers have a positive attitude to computers, but they did not use it very much in their teaching. The two main reasons were that they did not have access to many computers, and that they have experienced that the students need alot of help when they are working with the computers. The results also show that teachers see more opportunities than barriers with the computer in the mathematics teaching. The conclusions from this, is that they need further knowledge of how teachers can do to use computers more in their mathematics teaching for example by taking help of each other and through further training .
