Outdoor education applied to in preschool (English)
Abstract [en]

We live in a country that consists of much forest but how we use the forest in outdoor education in preschools? There are goals and guidelines teachers should relate to and strive to achieve. To get the answer whether the do this or not, I have interviewed six teachers and eight children in two kindergartens. The results show that educators feel that children are satisfied outdoors, where they may use their imagination, creativityt and where empathy grows and conflict are reduced. Active Terna is planned based on children's interests, season and curriculum. Lack of time and large groups of children have a negative impact whether teachers will take the children to the forest to carry out their planned activities. Children and teachers have a positive attitude towards staying in the forest.
