NursesÕ experiencesÕ of value conflict and dignity in patient care.The aim of this study is to describe nurses and nursing studentsÕ experiences of caring and their feeling when they meet nursing without caring. I this study, I used the critical incident technique to elicit caring and nursing without caring. In all 47 incidents have been analysed. The study shows that nurses are able to identify the caring and the infringement of the patientÕs dignity. Nurses describe their experiences as reel conflicts of value when they are witnesses of the infraction of the patientsÕ dignity.
