Preschool teachers' experience and knowledge of the importance of play for children's language development in preschool (English)
Abstract [en]

Man is a social being who seeks contact and have a desire to communicate with other people. There are meetings with others that you develop as a person. We communicate and use language to understand. conquer knowledge, express our needs and develop our thoughts. When playing, children can use their imagination and try out diffrent identities, process  emotions and create meaning in their lives.

The purpose of this study was to take advantage of a number of preschool teachers' experience and knowledge of the importance of play for children's language development in the preschool context. During my teachers training, I have realized the deck positive impact on child development. I became interested in studying the subject from a teacher perspective to gain an understanding of how they think and work practically with play and language.

The empirical data was collected by interviewing a number of pre-school teachers' in a kindergarten. These are the teachers' experience and knowledge that is the basis for the investigation. I adopted a scientific attitude inspired by hermeneutics. The result I found in my study was that pre-school teachers' had a similar child- and knowledge- based approach. The study found that preschool teachers' used the game in language development in pre-order context. The study showed that pre-school teachers' used similar methods and approaches in pre-school. And they thought the play as important for language development in the educational process of their children.
