Karlstad University, Faculty of Social and Life Sciences, Department of Politics and History.
2010 (English)In: The European Union and Global Governance: A Handbook / [ed] Jens-Uwe Wunderlich and David J Bailey, London: Routledge , 2010, 19-27 p.Chapter in book (Other academic)
Abstract

This chapter compares and contrasts the similarities and differences of theories of globalization with those of European integration, with specific reference to fusion approaches to the study of European integration. The chapter, published in a new comprehensive volume that brings together some of the leading scholars on European integration and global governance, argues that fusion approaches can learn from the works of globalization that are more comfortable when handling spatial and temporal dimensions of politics and international relations
