2011 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (university diploma), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

This essay contains information about how teachers work with student conflicted with cerebral palsy and if there is any difference between how these students are treated in comparison to students without the diagnose. This essay is based on two interviews and one literature review that treats both earlier research and experience based literature, that gives an insight of how it is to live with cerebral palsy. The empirical study is based on two interviews with teachers who work with children conflicted with cerebral palsy. The result of these interviews is only representative for these two teachers. When the study was implemented the conclusion was that the two teachers didn’t use any specific methods when teaching there students. But instead they adapted there methods for each individual students and its needs. When it comes to the difference in the pedagogic work between teachers with regular students and teachers that works with the mentally challenged students it was concluded that the teacher ratio per student was much higher in the class for the mentally challenged.
