Abstract [en]

Abstract

This essay aimed to explore trough interview, how teachers in preschool works with children’s language stimulation. The aim of this work is to explore the opportunities and methods preschool teacher has to work with in children’s language stimulation. In order to answer my questions, I interviewed four teachers from different preschools. In the study I assumed issues.

  • How do teachers stimulate children’s language development?
  • What are the different approaches teachers use to stimulate children’s language development?

The conclusions I’ve made of my study are that all preschool teachers using rhymes, songs, stories and books in their language stimulation work. Educators are taking support and help of TRAS (early registration of language development), Bornholmsmodellen and TAKK (sign as on alternative complementary communications). All educators stress the importance of children feeling secure in himself and the children group, and that it is very important to take advantage of all everyday situations.
