Abstract [sv]

Syftet med föreliggande studie är att, genom självobservation, få en ökad förståelse för lärande i spel med stråke på kontrabas samt att studera deltagande i de sociala sammanhang som omger stråken som kulturellt redskap. Studien behandlar lärandeprocessen i stråk-spel under enskild övning, lärarledda lektioner och musicerande med andra i ett informellt sammanhang. Insamlingen av data har gjords via videoinspelning, ljudinspelning samt loggboksanteckningar. Bearbetningen och analys av det insamlade materialet har gjorts med utgångspunkt i ett sociokulturellt perspektiv. Utifrån transkriptionsanteckningar från det observerade materialet sammanställs resultatet med betoning på hur olika artefakter används eller påverkar läroprocessen samt hur deltagande i praxisgemenskaper påverkar läroprocessen. I resultatdiskussionen diskuteras slutligen det sammanställda resultatet i förhållande till det sociokulturella perspektivet samt tidigare forskning.  

Abstract [en]

The aim of the present study is to, through self-observation, gain an increased understanding of learning in playing with a bow on the double bass and to study participation in the social contexts surrounding the bow as a cultural tool. The study deals with the learning process in bow playing during individual practice, teacher-led lessons and playing music with others in an informal context. The collection of data has been done via video recording, audio recording and logbook entries. The processing and analysis of the collected material has been done from a sociocultural perspective. Based on transcription notes from the observed material, the results are compiled with an emphasis on how different artefacts are used or affect the learning process and how participation in communities of practice affects the learning process. In the result discussion, the compiled result is finally discussed in relation to the sociocultural perspective and previous research.
