The Sweden Democrats are a much-debated party in society but have recently been established and received increasing voter support. The interest thus falls on conducting an ideal type analysis of xenophobia and then comparing these ideas with the Sweden Democrats' program of principles from 2019. By comparing these ideas with the program of principles, one can see whether the Sweden Democrats can be classified as a xenophobic party or not. Because despite the leadership in the party having ambitions to make the party even broader and appealing to more voters and downplaying radical political proposals, the party is still debated and classified as a xenophobic party. Based on the purpose, the following questions will be applied in order to construct both the analysis and the conclusion. Are there xenophobic features in the Sweden Democrats' principle program from 2019? What consistent character traits do the Sweden Democrats have with xenophobia? Both questions were answered because, in the program of principles, there are characteristics, of socio-economic politics, traditional values, ethnic nationalism, anti-democratic characteristics, and Exclusionism which describe xenophobia according to Gündüz criteria.
