Abstract [sv]

AbstractHealth is a recurring topic and where we are constantly reminded that we live in a society where we move less and less, and we see the consequences of this at all ages. Society has a responsibility to structure conditions to help individuals implement the changes they need to improve their living conditions and health.

The purpose of the thesis is to study a specific program that works promotion for health. The issues addressed are how they have put the theoretical field into practice and how they have implemented this.

The research design is a case study where the intention was to call and limit the survey to the specifically chosen program.

The results that have emerged are that they use well-founded behavioural change theories such as Acceptance Commitment Theory (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

This, together with education about what health is, value issues, Mindfulness and implementing goal setting strategies and ongoing follow-up, they have conceptualized a model for working to promote health with the aim of creating better living conditions. Their way of implementing this takes place within the working group in which the program is located.
