Abstract [sv]

Inledning: När Covid-19 pandemin bröt ut var det ett flertal yrken och därmed även dess arbetsmiljö som påverkades på grund av restriktioner för att minska på smittspridningen. För de arbetstagare som ansågs ha ett samhällsviktigt arbete innebar det trots rekommendation om att arbeta hemifrån att de tvingades arbeta på sina respektive arbetsplatser.Syfte: Syftet var att undersöka arbetsledares samt skyddsombuds perspektiv på arbetstagarnas arbetsmiljö inom dagligvaruhandeln under Covid-19 pandemin i Sverige.

Metod: För att besvara studiens syfte och frågeställningar, har kvalitativ metod använts. Data samlades in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer under början av 2023. Fyra arbetsledare samt tre skyddsombud valdes ut att delta i studien genom ett målinriktat snöbollsurval. Den insamlade data analyserades genom kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Resultat: Resultatet av den kvalitativa innehållsanalysen resulterade i fem kategorier: Ökad sjukfrekvens på arbetsplatsen, Nya rutiner och arbetssätt, Skydd för att förhindra smitta, Arbetstillfredsställelse, och Påfrestningar. Vidare resulterade de fem kategorierna i ett övergripande tema: Pandemin påverkade arbetsmiljön för arbetstagare inom dagligvaruhandeln.

Slutsats: Arbetsledarna samt skyddsombuden uppgav att det under Covid-19 pandemin förekom nya rutiner samt arbetssätt, samt att det var vanligt förekommande att arbetstagarna skadades under arbetstid. Detta är något som kan ha påverkat den fysiska arbetsmiljön negativt. Arbetsledarna samt skyddsombuden menade att arbetstagarna upplevde negativa emotioner såsom stress, oro och ångest, något som kan ha påverkat den psykiska arbetsmiljön negativt. Arbetsledarna samt skyddsombuden uppgav även att arbetstagarna upplevde att de hade stöd hos varandra samt att samarbetet dem emellan förbättrades och att de upplevde att arbetet var meningsfullt under Covid-19 pandemin, något som kan ha påverkat den sociala arbetsmiljön positivt

Abstract [en]

Introduction: When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, several professions and their work environment were affected due to restrictions to reduce the spread of infection. For workers who were considered to have socially important job, this meant that despite recommendation to work from home, they had to go to their jobs daily in order for the business they were in to continue to operate their day to day.

Aim: The aim of this study was to examine supervisors and safety representativesperspectives on the workers job environment in the grocery trade during the Covid-19 pandemic in SwedenMethod: To answer the study's aim and questions, a qualitative method has been used. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews in the beginning of 2023. Four supervisors and three safety representatives were selected to participate in the study. The collected data was further analyzed through qualitative content analysis.

Results: The analysis resulted in five categories.: A lot of illness at work, New routines andways of working, Protection to prevent infection, Work satisfaction and Stresses.Furthermore, the five categories resulted in an overarching theme: The pandemic affected the working environment for workers in the grocery trade.

Conclusion: The supervisors and safety representatives stated that during the Covid-19 pandemic there were new routines and new ways of working. It was common for workers to be injured during working hours. This is something that may have negatively affected the physical work environment. The supervisors and the safety representatives stated that workers experienced negative emotions such as stress, worry and anxiety, which may have had a negative impact on the psychological work environment. The supervisors and the safety representatives also stated that workers felt that they had support from each other and that the cooperation between them improved and that they felt that the work was meaningful during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is something that may have had a positive effect on the social work environment.
