Abstract [sv]

Skolans uppdrag är att främja elevernas lust till ett livslångt lärande och svenskundervisningen ska syfta till att stimulera elevernas intresse till att läsa och skriva. Därför är syftet med denna studie att undersöka vilka faktorer som bidrar till att främja elevernas motivation till att skriva i svenskämnet och hur lärare i grundskolans årskurser 4–6 arbetar för att utforma en skrivundervisning som motiverar och bidrar till elevernas lust till lärande.I studien används kvalitativa intervjuer som metod. Intervjuerna genomfördes med åtta verksamma svensklärare i årskurserna 4–6. På grund av rådande situation med Covid-19 hade lärarna möjlighet att välja om intervjuerna skulle genomföras digitalt via videosamtal eller som en fysiskintervju. Samtliga intervjuer spelades in med ljudinspelning. I intervjuerna framkom det faktorer som lärarna anser påverkar deras elevers motivation i skrivandet. Däribland nämns bland annat lärarens egenpåverkan, relationen mellan lärare och elev samt den betydelse som skrivuppgiftens utformning har på elevernas motivation. 

Abstract [en]

The school´s mission is to promote pupils’ desire for lifelong learning and the purpose of the Swedish subject is to stimulate the pupils’ interest towards reading and writing. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate which factors promotes the pupils’ motivation towards writing and the purpose is also to investigate how teachers’, in the grades 4-6, works for the purpose to create a literacy teaching which motivates and contributes to the pupils’ desire for learning. In the study, qualitive interviews are used research method. The interviews were conducted with eight teachers, who is all working as Swedish teachers today. Some of them are new in the profession and some of them have worked as teachers for many years. Due the prevailing situation with Covid19 the teachers had the opportunity to choose if they wanted to have the interview digitally through video call or if they wanted to have a physical interview. Regardless what the teachers chose, all interview where recorded with audio recording. In the interview, some of the factors that the teachers believe influence the pupils’ motivation emerged. Some of the factors that were mentioned were the teachers’ own influence on their pupils’ motivation, the importance of the relationship between the teacher and the pupil and also the importance of how the writing assignment is designed.
