Sweden has become more multicultural, which increases demands on today’s preschools. According to the curriculum the preschool is responsible for children having the possibility to develop both Swedish and their mother tongue, if it is another language than Swedish. Several preschools are multicultural where the children have another mother tongue, which entails higher demands on the educator to adapt the preschools activities to develop the children’s language. The purpose of this study is to attain the educator’s attitude towards multilingualism in preschools and if they face any difficulties while adapting the activities for children’s different languages and its development. The method is interview-based and five educators participated in the study. The conclusion of the study shows that preschool educators have good attitude towards multilingualism and that they think being multilingual is a good qualification, and that all children’s different language should be encouraged.
