Syftet med studien var att ur behandlarens perspektiv studera och analysera samarbetet mellan behandlare och vårdnadshavare samt relationens roll i behandlingen av unga med ätstörningar. Vi använde oss av en kvalitativ metod för att besvara vårt syfte och frågeställningar. Det genomfördes fyra intervjuer. Resultatet analyserades med hjälp av systemteorin och begreppet allians. Resultatet visar att samtliga respondenter ansåg att relationen till vårdnadshavarna var viktig för behandlaren i dess arbete. Flera respondenter vittnade om att relationens roll kunde påverka samarbetet och därmed behandlingsprocessen. Samtliga respondenter var överens om att behandlaren har en komplex roll där utmaningen är att få till ett samarbete och en relation till vårdnadshavaren. Slutsatsen som kan dras från denna studie är att relationen till och samarbetet med vårdnadshavare har betydelse för behandlingen. Det kan därför vara viktigt för behandlare att ha förståelse för detta och arbeta för att skapa goda allianser till vårdnadshavaren. 

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyse the collaboration with the guardian and the role of their relationship in the treatment of children with eating disorders, from a therapist's perspective. We used a qualitative research method to answer our questions and achieve our purpose. We performed four interviews. The result were analysed and interpreted with the help of systems theory and the concept of alliance. Results show that all respondents viewed the relationship and alliance with the guardian as important in their work. Many respondents described that the role of the relationship could affect the collaboration and the treatment process. Every respondent agreed that the role of the therapist is complex and creating a collaboration and relationship with the guardian is challenging. This study concludes that a relationship and collaboration with the guardian is meaningful in the treatment. Therefore, it is important that the therapist has knowledge of this and works to create good alliances with the guardians.
