Två diskursordningar – för emot. Medias gestaltning avkonfliktenInom miljörättvisa, en inriktning inom det bredare teoretiska fältet politisk ekologi, undersökshur orättvisor kopplade till miljön kan villkora och avgöra människors tillgång till hälsa ochvälstånd. I följande uppsatsarbete undersök tillträdet till ett grönområde, närmare bestämtSkutbergets frilufts- och rekreationsområde i Karlstad kommun, som ett föremål förmiljörättvisa. Detta görs inom frågeställningen ”Hur gestaltas olika perspektiv i en konfliktom tillträdet till ett grönområde i media?”.För att besvara frågeställningen har tidningsartiklar från de lokala dagstidningarna NyaWermlandstidningen och Värmlands Folkblad analyserats med hjälp av kritisk diskursanalysdär texten, den diskursiva praktiken och den sociala praktiken har hjälp till att blottlägga hursociala konflikter manifesteras i språkbruket och hur dominans, skillnad och motstånduttrycks i texter och diskurser.Resultatet av undersökningen mynnar ut i två diskursordningar som står i konflikt till varandra:en ”För Mumintemaparken” och en ”Emot Mumintemaparken”. Respektive diskursordningbyggs upp av olika diskurser som blir till argument för eller emot temaparkens tillblivande. Idiskursordningarna hörs olika berättelser där den ena partens definition av vad som anses varaproblemet med temaparken blir den andra partens lösning på ett annat problem

Environmental justice, a part of the broader theoretical field of political ecology, aims tostudy how injustices linked to the environment can determine and condition the access tohealth and wealth. This paper is a study of how access to a green area, the outdoor andrecreation area on Skutberget in the municipality of Karlstad, is an object of environmentaljustice. The research is done within the research-question “how is different perspectives in aconflict about access to an green area framed by the media”?To answer the research-question a critical discourse analyses has been made of the localnewspapers Nya Värmlandstidningen and Värmlands folkblad where the text, the discursivepractice and the social practice have been used to unfold how social conflicts manifests in thelanguage and how dominance, differences and resistance is taking place is in the text and inthe discourses.The result of the study is shown as two conflicting discourse orders: one for the Mumin themepark, and one against the Mumin theme park. Each discourse order is made up of differentdiscourses that turns into argument for and against the Mumin theme park. Different narrativsare told where one sides definition of the problem with the theme park is the other sidessolution of another problem.
