The autumn leaves tell. : A study based on children's thoughts about autumn leaves (English)
Abstract [en]

The purpose of my work is to shed light on how some students think about processes ofdefoliation, decomposition and composting. A central question was whether the students´answers differ between a traditional school and an environmental profile oriented school. Aninterview study was conducted where in-depth interviews done with student from grade three.The results show that the answers were not more nuanced, subject-oriented and exhaustivefrom the school with an environmental focus, but the answers were quite equivalentregardless of school when it comes to defoliation. However, there were good reasoning chainswithin the subject area degradation / composting among students from the environmentallyprofiled school.

Syftet med mitt arbete är att belysa hur några elever tänker kring processen om lövfällning,nedbrytning och kompostering. En central fråga var om elevers svar skiljer sig åt mellan entraditionell skola och en miljöprofilskola. En djupintervjustudie utfördes på en elevgrupp urårskurs tre.Resultatet visar att svaren inte var mer nyanserade, ämnesinriktade och uttömmande frånskolan med miljöinriktning utan svaren var ganska likvärdiga oavsett skola när det kommertill lövfällningen. Det fanns dock goda resonemangskedjor inom ämnesområdetnedbrytning/kompostering bland elever från den miljöprofilerade skolan.
