The aim of this study is to examine the arguments presented in the culture-socially beneficial project Meetings with memories. Further, the study examines how culture is considered to affect patients with dementia diseases such as Alzheimer. An argumentative analysis was implemented alongside Dorte Skot-Hansen’s rationalities in order to distinguish between different arguments presented within the project. The project which consisted of museum visits where dementia patients could engage with art in a meaningful way, was considered as a success among the museums that participated in the project. The main arguments presented for the project were the potential to increase both the participant quality of life as well restore a sense of social belonging and emotional support. Which raises the question on how culture and art could be used as a complement to traditional dementia care.
