The purpose of this study is to investigate what the need of culture is for the human being and analyze how the pandemic has affected her opportunities to assimilate culture, and how this has affected her way of life. The study is based on both literature content and argumentative analyses. It is based on so called intellects and the publics descriptions of their experience during a culture deprived time and shows that the human need of culture is infinite since it is present throughout our existence. The result of the study shows that although there are different definitions of culture, the existential need for it is beyond its defining scientific effects since it is present in all that we are and do – our social, culture and artistic exchanges, especially, in a time of crisis.
