Studiens syfte är att ge kunskap om ett urval förskollärares syn på bilderböcker med djur och hur dessa kan användas i boksamtal i förskolan. Som metod för studien valdes kvalitativa frågeformulär med öppna frågor som skickade ut till ett begränsat antal förskollärare. Frågorna utgick från bilderböckerna Rödluvan av Catarina Kruusval (2014) och Tre små grisar av Catarina Kruusval (2017) och handlade om vilka frågor som förskollärarna skulle ställa till barnen i boksamtal. Studiens resultat visade att samtliga förskollärare valde att beskriva vargen i böckerna med mänskliga egenskaper och använde sig då av ett antropomorfiserat språk. Resultatet visade även att förskollärarna i boksamtal skulle fråga barnen om vad karaktärerna i böckerna hade kunnat göra annorlunda och vad barnen tror är anledningarna till karaktärernas handlingar. Förskollärarna skulle även arbeta med att jämföra handlingarna i böckerna med verkligheten, utveckla barnens ordförståelse och att diskutera olika moraliska och etiska dilemman. Gemensamt för alla frågor som förskollärarna skulle ställa i boksamtal är att de handlar om att barnen ska får möjlighet att reflektera och uttrycka sina egna tankar och idéer. 

The purpose of the study is to provide knowledge about a selection of preschool teachers' views on picture books with animals and how these can be used in book discussions in preschool. As a method for the study, qualitative questionnaires with open questions were sent out to a limited number of preschool teachers. The questions were based on the picture books Rödluvan by Catarina Kruusval (2014) and Tre små grisar by Catarina Kruusval (2017) and was about what questions the preschool teachers would ask children in book discussions. The results of the study showed that all preschool teachers chose to describe the wolf in the books with human characteristics and therefore used anthropomorphized language. The results also showed that the preschool teachers in book discussions would ask the children about what the characters in the books could have done differently and what the children think are the reasons for the characters' actions. The preschool teachers would also work on comparing the actions in the books with reality, developing the children's word comprehension and discussing various moral and ethical dilemmas. Common to all the questions that preschool teachers would ask in book conversations is that they are about the children being given the opportunity to reflect and express their own thoughts and ideas.
