The purpose of this study is to investigate how ethics and normative ethical theories in digital teaching materials meet the school's curriculum for upper secondary school. The focus is on studying digital teaching materials and how they deal with ethics and then comparing the content with the curriculum and also comparing the teaching materials with each other. Using quantitative content analysis and hermeneutics and a partially quantitative method, three digital teaching materials and their presentation and description of ethics as well as three normative theories were examined. In the analysis, I have systematically tried to answer my questions in order to fulfill the purpose of the survey. Hermeneutics was judged to be suitable for my research as the texts in the digital teaching aids needed to be interpreted based on my personal understanding. As few teachers feel that they have time to review their teaching materials, this results in teachers being able to use teaching materials that have not been reviewed and quality-assured in their teaching, which can have consequences for the students. The teaching material reviews that have been done have mainly dealt with the presentation of religions and show that there is a lack of teaching materials on the market. The conclusion after I analyzed the three digital teaching aids in my study shows that the field of ethics to varying degrees meets the school curriculum and that there is content that can be interpreted in a way that does not meet the requirements of the school curriculum.
