The EU has long advocated a two-state solution in the current conflict between Palestine and Israel. A two-state solution - one Israel and one Palestine would give the Middle East peace. The EU foreign and security policy is intended to simplify the peace process based on diplomacy and respect for international rules. In this paper, i intend to analyze EU policies in relation to the conflict by using Liberalism. Since the essay's problem formulation and purpose consists of analyzing the EU foreign and security policy, I intend to use a qualitative content analysis. The theory is being approached in a theory consuming way focusing on following concepts; Interdependance, democracy promotion and international law. Based on the analysis and the results EU would need to make their politics and political actions more effective in order to have a more prominent and stronger impact in the conflict, by standing. In this way, results might make greater differences towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
