Abstract [sv]

Denna studie är en ekokritisk visuell textanalys av sex stycken bilderböcker utgivna i Sverige, inklusive översatta titlar, riktade till förskolebarn. Bilderböckerna behandlar alla ämnet natur och samtliga utspelar sig i skogen. Syftet med studien är att ta reda på vilka natursyner dessa böcker presenterar samt ta reda på om de skulle gå att använda i ett pedagogiskt syfte i förskolans naturpedagogiska verksamhet. Resultatet av studien visar att majoriteten av de analyserade bilderböckerna presenterar en biocentristisk natursyn där natur, människa och djur är i centrum. Det förekommer även exempel som lyfter fram den ekocentristiska natursynen samt den antropocentriska natursynen. Resultatet visade även att böckerna kan vara användbara som verktyg vid naturpedagogisk undervisning.

Abstract [en]

This study is an ecocritical visual text analysis of six picture-books published in Sweden including translated titles aimed at preschool children. The picture books are all about the subject nature and they all take place in the forest. The purpose of the study is to find out from which point of view nature is represented in these books and in this way find out if they could be used for a pedagogical purpose in the preschool's activities. The result of the study showed that the majority of the analyzed picture books presents a biocentric view of nature where nature, humankind and animals are in focus. There is also examples that highlights an ecocentric view of nature and an anthropocentric view of nature. The results also showed that the books can be useful as tools in the teaching of nature.
