Abstract [en]

The Hamburg scene in the 60s is a vital part of rock history. It was here, according to legend, that The Beatles, and other acts, developed from boys to men – on and off stage. Here is the first half of a two-part story about the Fabs’ fabled live recordings on stage at Star-Club, Hamburg, in December 1962, and the legendary scene that surrounded them. Written by Dr Hans Olof Gottfridsson. Technical adviser: Richard Moore
