Abstract [sv]

Litteratur är för flera individer en viktig aktivitet och skolverksamheten uppmuntrar sina elever till läsning. Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka ifall det finns kopplingar mellan barnlitteratur och forskning samt teorier. I den här studien kommer fokus ligga på hur den tystlåtna individen gestaltas med beteende samt tankar i barnlitteratur och vilket bemötande de får från omgivningen. 

Vid besvarande av syfte i denna undersökning blev valet att utföra en kvalitativ metod i form av dokumentstudie på två utvalda barnlitteraturer där resultatet har jämförts med tidigare forskning samt teorier i nämnda ämne. Med resultatet har jag kunnat besvara mina frågeställningar angående hur tystlåtna gestaltas samt bemöts i utvald barnlitteratur i jämförelse med forskning samt teorier. 

De teoretiska utgångspunkterna var forskning och teorier om blyghet samt introversion och bemötandet, om tolkning och litteratur samt om uppbyggnad av karaktärer. Från dessa teorier brukades i första hand begrepp såsom blyghet samt introversion. 

Abstract [en]

Literature is for many individuals an important activity and schools encourage their students to read. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there are links between literature and science and theories about shyness. In this study, focus will be on how the silent individual is portrayed with behavior and thoughts and the treatment they receive from their surroundings. 

When answering the purpose in this study, the choice of method became a qualitive method, or more specifically a document study on two selected children's literature, where the result was compared with previous science and theories on the subject that has been mentioned. With the result I have been able to answer my questions about how silent individuals are portrayed and treated in selected children's literature in comparison with science and theories. 

The theoretical starting points were research and theories about shyness, as well as introversion and treatment, about interpretation and literature and about the structure of characters. From these theories were primarily concepts such as shyness and introversion.
