Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vilka uppfattningar lärare har om en skrivundervisning där digitala verktyg samspelar med skrivande för hand. Vidare undersöks även hur digitala skrivverktyg respektive skrivande för hand används i skrivundervisningen och slutligen är studiens syfte att jämföra lärares uppfattningar med befintlig forskning.

Studiens empiriska material är insamlat genom kvalitativ metod, närmare bestämt semistrukturerade intervjuer. Respondenterna består av sex verksamma lärare inom årskurs F-3. Resultatet från den insamlade empirin har analyserats utifrån studiens teoretiska utgångspunkter och sedan ställts mot tidigare forskning i ett diskussionskapitel.

Studiens resultat visar att när det kommer till den tidiga skrivundervisningen ser majoriteteten av respondenterna större fördelar med skrivande för hand jämfört med skrivande med hjälp av digitala verktyg. Vidare visar resultatet att skrivande för hand, bland merparten av lärare, även tar större plats i skrivundervisningen och är ett naturligt val i undervisning av exempelvis bokstavsinlärning samt delar av textstruktur. Digitala verktyg uppfattas framför allt positivt för elever med olika svårigheter som exempelvis finmotorik men även när det kommer till skrivande av texter där fokus läggs på enbart innehåll.

I fråga om hur den egna undervisningen relaterar till befintlig forskning visar resultatet att samtliga lärare i stor utsträckning bygger sin undervisning på egen beprövad erfarenhet. Aktuell forskning inom skrivundervisning är något som lärare förser sig med på egen hand samt genom kollegiala samtal. I resultatet framgår att de flesta lärare upplever avsaknad av kompetensutbildningar som erbjuder kunskapsutveckling inom meningsfull integrering av digitala verktyg i skrivundervisningen.

The purpose of this study is to examine what perceptions teachers have about writing instruction where digital tools interact with writing by hand. The purpose is also to examine how digital writing tools and writing by hand is used in teaching. Furthermore the study aims to compare teachers´ perceptions with existing research. 

The empirical material of this study is collected through qualitative method, in particular semi-structured interviews. The respondents consist of six active teachers within grade F-3. The result of the collected empirical data has been analyzed using the study's theoretical starting points and then set against previous research in a discussion chapter. 

The study's results show that when it comes to teaching the younger pupils the majority of respondents see greater benefits with writing by hand compared to writing using digital tools. Furthermore, the result shows that writing by hand as a teaching method is more common among the majority of teachers and it is also a natural choice when teaching for example letter learning and some parts of text structure. Digital tools are perceived to be especially positive for pupils who struggle with fine motor skills but also when writing texts where the focus lies on the content and not the spelling. 

In terms of how one's own teaching relates to existing research, the result shows that all teachers rely to a large extent on their own experience. Current research is something that teachers provide for themselves as well as through collegial conversations. The result also shows that most teachers do feel that there is a lack of further training that offers knowledge development within meaningful integration of digital tools in writing instruction.
