Abstract [en]

This paper investigates the dynamicity and complexity of service eco systems by demonstrating the public transit service eco-system in resilient and living cities (city regions). In particular, it explores the main theoretical and empirical challenges on how to understand the dynamic and transformative service eco-system, by developing and implementing a feasible and proactive tool. To develop a service ecosystem and implement it requires an S-D logic perspective with input from societal and environmental encounters to expand the micro, meso and macro levels by addressing the complex situation of public transit services in transforming cities in Sweden (Malmo), France (Paris) and South Africa (Cape Town).
