The paper examines the parliamentary influence of the radical right-wing parties in the European Parliament during the current mandate from 2014 until December 2017. The aim of the study is to examine the radical right-wing parties influence in the European Parliament committees, by examine the rapporteurships that the radical right-wing political groups ENF and EFDD has been assigned in two of the European parliament’s committees, LIBE and JURI.
The study is based on a case study, using the theory “Party strategies in a Multiparty System”. In the empirical conclusion, it appears that the radical right-wing parties during the current term of office have not been successful in influencing the European Parliament policies, because of the lack of collaboration and low attendance during the votes.
