It's all about the control : Educators thoughts about their involvement in free play, based on a focus group interview. (English)
Abstract [en]

In this study i investigate which discources that are revealed when educators reason about their involvement in free play. I am doing an interview using a focus group that consists of two preschool teachers and one child caregiver to answer my questions. The result of the analysis shows that educators first and foremost engages in the free play if children can come to harm, if there is a situation of conflict or if a child is in need of help with entering a play situa- tion or does not know how to behave while playing with others. It is also clear that educators have a tendency to embed values and prepare children for the future.

I min studie undersöker jag vilka diskurser som framträder när pedagoger resonerar kring sin inblandning i den fria leken. Jag använder mig av en fokusgruppsintervju som består av två förskollärare och en barnskötare för att få svar på mina frågor. I resultatet av analysen framkommer det att pedagoger främst ingriper i den fria leken om barnen kan komma till skada, om det uppstår konfliktsituationer eller om ett barn behöver stöd med att knäcka lekkoden. Det visar sig också att pedagoger har tendens att förankra värde- grunden och förbereda barnen inför framtiden.
