Abstract [en]

We argue that home proper is tourism’s uncanny. Questions of home do not take centre

stage in the discipline. Of course second homes have been explored in tourism studies.

However, home proper has not been a subject worthy of philosophical/theoretical

deliberations, analytical or methodological debates. Strange as it may seem, the

discipline is home-less.
