Jämförelse mellan två metoder att arbeta med läs- och skrivsvårigheter
2004 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (professional degree)Student thesis
Abstract [en]

This study compares two methods for teaching reading and writing to persons with reading and writing difficulties. The purpose of the study is to get information about different ways of learning to read and write. In my future profession I will most certainly meet students with difficulties in reading and writing, and I want to get profund knowledge about different teaching methods. The study is built on earlier studies and interviews. The group of informants consists off our remedial teachers with long experience from practical work. The result of my study shows that both the Witting method and the Reading Recovery method are useful methods, but both methods are quite time consuming. The result also shows that a good method can help children in reading and writing. How ever, there is no simple answer to the question of which method is the best. This study points in the same direction as the literature: all training must be individualized.
