This essay is an examination about children’s thoughts about the circulation of water and how I, as a teacher, want to teach the subject to the children and give them a good knowledge of the issue. The examination is performed as qualitative and structured interviews with 18 children, aged four, seven and ten. The examination shows that the younger children thinks that it is problematic to understand where clouds come from and what they are made of. Another problem is that the children cannot see the connection between clouds and rain. Also to understand why it is raining and where the rain goes ones it has hit the ground seems to be a problem for them. But the older the children gets, the more extensive their understanding are. Det här arbetet är en undersökning kring barns tankar för vattnets kretslopp och hur jag som lärare vill undervisa i ämnet för att ge barnen en så bra grund som möjligt att stå på. Undersökningen är utförd så att totalt 18 barn i åldrarna fyra, sju och tio år har intervjuats genom kvalitativa och strukturerade intervjuer. Undersökningen visar att de yngre barnen tycker det är problematiskt att förstå vart molnen kommer från och vad de är gjorda av. Ett annat problem är att se sambandet mellan moln och regn. Även att förstå varför det regnar och vart regnet tar vägen efter att det nått marken verkar skapa problem för dem.
