The new reading development scheme is a readingscheme who show the students their reading developments. It`s add on steps. The students are going to pass this steps under the development of their reading. I have worked with the questions ” new reading development scheme- is it positive or negative? I have intervjued lot of people who are working with the new reading development scheme; three teatchers, one civil servant who introduced this scheme in our township three years ago, and the liberarian who is responsible for the children`s books in the local library. I used a investigate with open questionsarea . i did a kvalitativ investigation. The resultat was very exciting. After three years used of the new reading development scheme i found out than there was both positive and negative influences among the ones who used the scheme. LUS är ett läsutvecklingsschema som visar elevers läsutveckling. Det är uppbyggt på steg som skall passeras under utvecklingen av sin läsning. Jag har arbetat utifrån frågeställningen ”LUS – är det positivt eller negativt? Vilka är LUS till för? Hur gjorde man bedömningar av elever innan LUS fanns? Jag har intervjuat ett antal personer med nära anknytning till LUS och det handlar om tre grundskollärare, en tjänsteman, som introducerade LUS i vår kommun för tre år sedan, och LUS- samordnaren på biblioteket. Jag har använt mig av kvalitativa intervjuer. Resultatet blev väldigt spännande. Efter tre års användande av LUS- schemat finns det både positiva och negativa influenser hos dem som använder LUS.
