2005 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (professional degree)Student thesis
Abstract [en]

The purpose with this examination research has been to find out about how headmasters, specialteachers and teachers think about the pupil welfare conference on the subject of: 1. The meaning of pupil welfare conference 2. How to work further on 3. What changes can it lead to? 4. Children and parents experience 5. Perspective and attitude This I have done by interviewee two headmasters, two specialteachers and four teachers from two different schools. The examine aims in first place on the younger pupils. The result shows that it is a good authority for discussion. The pupil welfare conference is important in the meaning of the parents and the school to meet. To have a well working collaboration with the parents is a frequent aspect all through the interviews. The pupil welfare conference should not be overrated, the important thing is how to deal with the resolved afterwards. The children participation does not come of their age, it comes out of the contents of the discussion. The younger children are not often there but they can bee there for a while. It is also important, as a teacher, to know which way to look at the pupils. Some of the respondents says that this is often discussed, other says it is not.
