Abstract [en]

This study is about how teachers can find out when a pupil has reading and writing difficulties. Which causes can it be for this difficulties and what decides if a person has an increased risk to have difficulties in reading and writing. In my future proffession I will certainly meet children with difficulties in reading and writing. I want to get profound knowledge about how I can discover these difficulties as early as possible. The study is built on earlier studies and my own interviews. The group of informants consists of four teachers with long experience from practical works. The result of my study shows that both the research and the interviews be agree that the phonetic awareness is important for the children when they are learning to read. That is also important to be more than one adult who can discover the difficulties. Teachers can see different sides of the children and as early as possible discover the difficulties and find out how to help the children in the best possible way.
