The aim of the study is to investigate some teachers description how they use the computer in teaching Swedish. The teachers teach pupils from grade 1 to grade 4. My method of investigation was to interview some teachers in different compulsory schools. The result of the study shows that the teachers I interviewed do not use the computer much in the teaching Swedish. The implications of the study are that teaching with computers are varying depending on the age of pupils and depending on the size of groups, there computers are functioning depending on the teachers own interest in computers. In my discussion I focus on: Which are the advantages and the disadvantages using computers and why they do not use them. My study support the literature I have read: the pupils think it is fun to work with the computer and the disadvantages is that there is not enough computers in the classrooms.
