My interest for this examination is because I think the textbook and the individual work for each student take too much space in the education in mathematics. There is a great lack of laboratory material in mathematics where the students are using all their senses for learning. We know by Piaget and Vygotskij theories that we are learning in many different ways. My examination are based for the subject relevant literature and qualitative intervjues. It describes how six teachers are looking at leaving the textbook in the education in mathematics totaly or in larger extent. The results describes how their thoughts of the influence of their working situation.
