Howard Gardners multipla intelligensteori - när barn leker fritt använder de sig då av multipla intelligenser
2005 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (professional degree)Student thesis
Abstract [en]

My choise of subject was to write about Howard Gardner´s theory about multiple intelligences. My opinion of Gardner´s theory is positive and I want to learn more. As a teacher I want to meet every pupil in a way where he or she can understand and learn. The aim of this study was to get a deeper knowledge about the theory of multiple inteligenses by Howard Gardner and how playing can be of use fo me as teacher when using alternative methods. My study was to see if multiple intelligences is shown when playing. By observing children when they were playing without any adults around I wanted to see if they used multiple intelligences. I have presented what some literature says about the different kinds of intelligence and about the benefits of playing. Then I have tried to connect playing games with Howard Gardner´s theory about multiple intelligences. My result was that children use multiple intelligences when playing, but I had wanted a more specific answer to why they do so. I could not achieve that through my study.
